When my sisters and I decided we needed help looking after Mum we were adamant that we wanted care that would meet our expectations for Mum and her particular needs. From the initial assessment visit we have always felt that our concerns have been listened to and acted upon. The Carers and the Management Team are always willing to try find solutions to Mum's care problems and are willing to "go the extra mile". With Doris Jones we feel that our load is being shared and we are truly grateful to them.

Staff are friendly, professional, always smart and on time and do their utmost to provide the standard of care in the home that all clients should have. We have used several agencies and theses are superior in every way.

Towards the end of her life Mrs Lockett had a firm of carers who were not very reliable. A friend dismissed them and recommended Doris Jones Ltd. They turned out to be excellent. Mrs Southgate (the founder) told her that when her carers called it would always be one of the same four so that she would get to know them well. They bathed her in the mornings, made her bed, and gave her her medications. They were very kind and had a good bedside manner (especially Ross). They came again at lunchtime and teatime and lastly at night where they settled her for bed. Although I was her husband, at night she often called out for Ross! Sadly she passed away one morning when some of the carers were present, and they were also a great comfort to me. I too now have them, although on a reduced scale. As we did not have any family they make my life a lot more bearable than it might otherwise have been. I have no hesitation in passing my feelings on to you.
