'Moving and Handling' course will help carers to move people safely

As part of its efforts to support carers, Wirral Council has been organizing courses to help carers to move and handle people safely.
The next course will be held on Thursday September 16, and will demonstrate safe techniques to carers.
Lasting four hours, the course will:
Increase confidence and reduce anxiety Enhance competence Avoid injury and maintain wellbeing Promote good back care Help the carer understand the needs of the person they support and develop a moving and handling plan Provide an opportunity to practice moving and handling techniques and use a variety of handling aids
Where appropriate it will include:
