Lifeways, one of the UK’s leading providers of specialist support services to people with learning disabilities and complex needs, has announced the appointment of Anne Bygrave as Director of Operations North, effective from the beginning of September 2011.

Anne brings to Lifeways more than 25 years of experience of working in, leading and managing support for people who have learning disabilities and/or mental health needs and supporting older people. She has worked in health, social services and independent organisations and has held roles of both commissioner and provider within these settings.

“I’m really looking forward to the challenges that lie ahead working within such a dynamic organisation as Lifeways”, says Anne. “I am confident that my knowledge and experience will enable me to add real value to the people who use Lifeways’ services”.

Anne also has a strong background in safeguarding and personalisation, and has worked as an Assistant Director in a joint PCT/local authority post responsible for learning disability and mental health services, and latterly, for a local authority.

"The appointment of Anne Bygrave as Lifeways' Director of Operations North, is a significant milestone in the growth of our business", comments Paul Marriner, CEO, The Lifeways Group. "Anne will fulfil an important strategic executive role as Lifeways continues to grow. Her primary objective is to manage operations in the North of the UK to ensure that we continue to provide the people we support with the person centred support and quality of service that they have come to expect from Lifeways”.

Paul concludes: “We are all looking forward to having Anne on board and to working closely with her as a key member of the Executive Team”.
