Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
We transferred to Walfinch Newcastle East at the end of February after dissatisfaction with our previous carer. What a difference! Walfinch showed a great deal of interest and determination to meet my wife's needs. We were assured that any new carers would, at no extra cost, be introduced to us and
work alongside a known carer or by the Care Manager, who has been excellent in being flexible and planning cover well in advance. She has shown real interest in our views of the service Walfinch provides, which has been excellent.
Reply from Paige Stokes, Care Manager at Walfinch Newcastle EastThank you so much for your thoughtful review. It's really lovely to hear that the move to our service here at Walfinch has made such a positive difference for you and your wife. Ensuring care is carefully planned, with the right introductions and continuity, is so important, so it's great to know this has helped everything feel smooth and well managed. It also means a great deal to hear your kind words about the way the service has been led and how involved and listened to you have felt throughout. Your feedback is truly appreciated and will be shared with the Walfinch team.

I am delighted with the care which has been provided for my parents.
The Walfinch managers are professional & caring in my experience. Communication is excellent. The carers provide an excellent service - I have not met a carer I have not been happy with.
I have found Walfinch are very good at tailoring
care specifically for what is needed after listening carefully to our requests.
I feel they provide excellent value for money.
Reply from Paige Stokes, Care Manager at Walfinch Newcastle EastThank you so much for your kind review. We're delighted to hear how happy you are with the care your parents receive. It's really important to us that families feel listened to and confident in the support provided, so your comments about our communication, team and value mean a great deal. Walfinch have been caring for my elderly mam for several weeks after a period of ill health to support with her rehabilitation. I honestly can't recommend them more. They provide exactly the right level of support whilst maintaining my mam's independence to do things herself as much as possible. My
mam loves all of the 'girls' who come to see her and even though she is much better now will not be stopping her daily visit! Walfinch provide us with the comfort to know mam is ok even when we can't be there, the app they use to keep us informed is also brilliant. Thank you Walfinch! X
Reply from Paige Stokes, Care Manager at Walfinch Newcastle EastThank you so much for such a thoughtful review. It's so nice to hear how much your mam enjoys her visits and that she's doing so well. The team will be absolutely delighted to hear your kind words. We're really pleased the support has helped her regain confidence while still maintaining her independence, and that the digital monitoring app gives you that extra reassurance when you can't be there.

I was recommended the services of Walfinch carers and I have been very happy with them. From the initial consultation where I voiced my concerns about my husband's physical health problems and his dementia, all were dealt with. The carer who now comes in every Wednesday afternoon, to allow me to go
to my quilting class, is very caring with a lovely sense of humour.
I would certainly recommend Walfinch to anyone in need of first class care.

We first called on Walfinch for help a couple of years ago for a few weeks' help after a hospital stay....all went very well and they were very kind and helpful. Consequently, when we needed more permanent help in Feb 2025 we went back to Walfinch. It was lovely to reconnect with the carers we met before
and some of the newer ones. So far they have all been very professional, polite, friendly and reassuring. If we have a carer who is new to me, I make sure I am around to check that she/he does what is needed. So far no problems.
If you do have a worry or concern it is very easy to ring the office and have a word. Someone will always get back to you and help to get your concerns sorted. I find that everyone is very supportive and willing to help if needed. Obviously the Company/set up is not perfect but I think they would be hard to beat. I have one carer to do a proper shower once a week and a visit every evening with one carer to sort out bedtime. All good

Very prompt visit from the Walfinch representative to speak to Mum about the care/help she was wanting. Mum felt very relaxed and able to tell Kam her needs. The paperwork was emailed the following day. This explained everything you would like to know about the company. Also everything that was needed
from Mum and what was expected from her carer. The care started the Monday of the following week. Mum has had 2 lovely ladies visit her and she is very happy and accepting of them. I would certainly recommend this care company for anyone who is looking for help for their loved ones.

All the staff at Walfinch East Barnet are completely customer focused and highly professional. They are friendly and helpful, ensuring the best for their clients.
We have a live-in carer for my dad and she is amazing. I wanted someone to assist and encourage my dad to be self sufficient as much as
possible and that's exactly what they do. They cook, shop and do tasks together, helping to keep my dad able to carry out day to day tasks. Marcelo and the rest of the office staff take the time to listen and understand my requirements and match the correct carer. They have helped out at short notice and I don't know what I would have done without their help. I would recommend the Walfinch East Barnet branch 100%
Reply from Marcelo Navarro, Manager director at Walfinch East BarnetStephen, thank you so much for your kind words.

We're really pleased to hear that the live-in care for your dad is working so well and that he's being supported to stay as independent as possible. That's exactly what we aim to achieve.

Thank you also for your trust in me and the team. It means a lot to know our support, especially at short notice, has made a difference. We truly appreciate your recommendation.

I would like to thank Afshan and her wonderful team for the personal care of my late father 'Gordon'.
Afshan came to our aid and my fathers in so many wonderful ways. Personally, living out of country and introducing Afshan and her team into my dad's care, made his kids worry that little less. They
provided personal care, companionship, trips to the Doctors/pharmacy or shopping missions, making my dads life easier in his later yrs. My father was very well looked after in his home and his care team were such a gift.
Plz do not hesitate to bring Walfinch team into your loved ones home to care for your elders.

The service is diligent and caring, and responsive to requests for specific help to be provided. The staff are courteous and kind. The app is a good idea and enables the family to get an overview of what is going on, from a distance. It's not always easy, of course, to pick up the nuance of emotions
or problems from those reports. We will ask for a a more detail discussion of the care plan and how the carers find my brother in the next month or so.

My carer is almost always punctual which for me is very important. She is very much aware of my 'care plan' which she executes very well. Occasionally I find that she strides to be very ridge, perhaps too ridge. She is always respectful and polite. We are able to chat to one another in quite a relaxed
manner,(again very important to me) despite age differences. With a few of the problems I have, she has been able to make very sensible, insightful suggestions. She has become a very positive part of my life enabling me to live in my own home.
Reply from Laura Woollard, Managing director at Walfinch SouthamptonThank you for your kind review.
We will always be here to help and support you to stay independent in your own home and assist you in every way we can. It's good to know you have built up a good rapport with the professional care support and you get on well despite the age difference.
