Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
My wife received just over Five weeks of care from Walfinch Southampton which was at its commencement thought to be long term but in the event she took a downward turn and passed away in early September, During that time the carers gave her exemplary care in sometimes difficult circumstances as she
appeared to be in a lot of pain and often attempted to fight them off. I would like to express my gratitude to all those that attended to her for their professionalism and compassion. Those that looked after so well were Angela the Manager, Shannon, Nyara, Rose, Selina ,Charmaine, Saffron and Debbie. I was particularly pleased to see members of the team at the funeral and the wake. Their presence was very much appreciated .

I have known the carer through a very dear friend of mine who is living with progressive Parkinson and I cannot speak highly enough of him. The love, care and patience he provides is exceptional. He is truly an angel sent. He treats my dear friend as if he were his own family with genuine compassion.
He blends with all of us with his warm, approachable with a positive attitude.

We contacted Walfinch to arrange care for mum, we had previously had a tough experience so meeting the manager was a breath of fresh air, mum felt comfortable with her and the service that was on offer. The manager and her team exceeded expectations, they became part of the family and the care they
provided was exemplary. The carers raised concerns when mum seemed unwell on their visits and she was quick to support us as a family with guidance and to help us get the additional medical support she needed, even made personal visits to check on mum. We will always be grateful of the service we received and continue to receive after we sadly lost mum. Cannot recommend and thank them enough.

My mother-in-law suffers from Alzheimer's.
When it became obvious that we needed extra help we found Walfinch. Having worked in Health & Social Care for over 20 years I was scrupulous in my search for the "right people".
The care my mother-in-law has received since May this year to date has been

I am a carer for my mum and have used Walfinch for short term cover when I have had to be away for a few days.
It has been really easy to arrange and they have been able to provide a single carer for all of the daily visits, which has been great for my mum. When using other care companies previously,
it seemed to be a different carer almost every visit meaning they never knew where to find things and never got used to mum's routine.
A specific member of staff has been great with both of my parents and quickly picked up on my mum's routines and requirements. We hope she will be able to covers any future respite breaks as well.

This is my first time using Walfinch and they have been so helpful in looking after my Dad following his release from hospital. All members of staff that we have dealt with (from the carers themselves to the ladies in the office on the other end of the phone) have been polite, caring and very understanding
to my Dad's situation. They have been a great help and support not only to my Dad but also to myself and my sister as we look after my Dad in his home. Every visit they are happy and supportive and treat Dad with so much care and respect. They have built up a great rapport with him and encourage him to walk with his frame, do exercises to build up his strength as well as drink/eat and even play games with him. All staff have been great but I must give a special mention to a few specific members of staff who are just lovely and a credit to your Company. Thank you!

We contacted and instructed Walfinch to help us care for an elderly friend from April 2025 onwards. Our initial meeting with Walfinch was very encouraging in thier understanding of our concerns and the support needs for our friend. Our friend although quite physically fit has some dementia but wishes
to retain her independence which we want to help her keep as long as safely possible. To date we can report that we are very happy with the way the Walfinch care team have built a really good support and friendly relationship with our friend who seems to love the regular visits. This relationship will become increasingly important as the time goes on and her support needs will undoubtedly increase. Well done Walfinch and thankyou.

Two years later, Walfinch Care continues to exceed expectations. My uncle's communication skills and well-being have improved dramatically. He genuinely likes all his carers and values their care. The team remains exceptionally proficient at medication management and maintaining his property. After
completing essential tasks, carers engage with him in a friend-to-friend manner, which has been invaluable for his emotional health. Management provides weekly schedules and proactive communication. The app offers wonderful peace of mind. I have no concerns and will continue choosing Walfinch for his care.
