The carers for my elderly mum always do an excellent job, and we are pleased with the service. But today was amazing. Mum, forgetful as she is, lost a substantial amount of money some time ago. We had written it off, but this morning her carer found it in some old linen and handed the full amount back to Mum.
She could have kept it and no one would have been any the wiser. But the lady didn't. This sort of honesty and trust is absolutely essential and I can't thank the carer enough.

Bluebird Care offers our family an excellent service. They are reliable, trustworthy, punctual and friendly.
The girls are well trained and provide personal care in a professional manner, providing for my daughter's needs in a relaxed atmosphere. They are flexible to her needs and we would be lost without them!
The office staff and owner are all very approachable and eager to know my daughter's needs are being met and that we are happy also.

Overall a very good service is provided by the carers, they are punctual, reliable and friendly. When contacting the office, any problems we've had have been sorted out straight away so no problems there either. The only slight concern is the turnover of staff, I would prefer to see the same carers every day.

We have been really pleased to have Bluebird ladies looking after me over the last few weeks. Their help and care have been greatly appreciated.
We are especially impressed that during terrible weather conditions they have gone out of their way to ensure continuity of care and have braved atrocious conditions to get here.

The carers have been excellent. They have been friendly, efficient and punctual. They ask if there is any more that they can do to help. The agency warns in advance if there is any change in the timing of their visits. They ask for comments to ensure that our requirements are being met. Prices compare with other agencies.

We were happy to find a care agency with male carers as Dad is a bit old fashioned and wanted a gentleman to help him dress etc. Dad is very happy with the carer and chats with him every morning.

Could not fault the company. The ladies were very good with our mam. She was difficult at first with them, but they put her at ease and were still very good with Mam. She needed to know what her pills were, what she was taking, and the ladies explained everything so she could understand, and took them mostly and this was nearly every day.

Our mam passed away on 6th October. She looked forward to seeing them. In the notes said Mam was crying and the carers comforted her. They would inform us if we needed new medication in time before it would run out.

They are ladies I would like to know as friends outside of their work.

Communication is very important and we do not always get it right. Operational difficulties in unplanned staff shortages do put a spanner in the works. However, this is a part of the business that the office staff are working hard to improve and we mainly get it right but even one mistake is not good enough in our view. Our investment in new technology will help us in this process of working proactively rather than reactive. Our customer needs come first and we are committed to this.

Very happy with the care my mam receives from the care service.

I continue to need help and support after debilitating hospital admissions and the end of rehab at home service. Following personally experienced recommendations I approached Bluebird Care (Sunderland).I was impressed with the care taken to accommodate my needs and the flexibility available should I have a relapse.
My need is for personal care. My carer is always timely and a ray of sunshine! Whilst respecting my dignity she is thorough and considerate, carrying out her duties with efficiency and humour.

Very helpful ladies. Mam was very difficult patient, but they put her ar east and they talked through her medication and why she takes it and needs it. Mam brightened up when the carers came in. I asked about mam's eating habits changing and the girls said based on their experiences and suggested what mam might prefer and they were right. Now my mam is putting on much-needed weight. We contacted you on someone's recommendation based on the care thaty Bluebird give.

I was completely satisfied with the care my mother received whilst I was on holiday for two weeks. I came home to a happy mother who had a very good experience with the carers from the agency. She obviously likes the carers who continue to visit twice a week to shower her, which in turn helps me in doing a task which is very difficult for me. This is money well spent.

For a number of years now I have used this company. They have given professional care and consideration finding the right staff I know it is hard but they strive to find them. Since my carer has started to come I get well looked after, she makes sure I have my shower and clean clothes on, she does lots of things for me that is not in her job description she makes sure I have some jewellery on which is one thing I love.

The company stepped in to provide 24-hour care for my son after the agency he was with failed to keep him safe. Providing 24-hour care between 2 carers has keen challenging since few carers wish to be away from home a week at a time. However, the company has managed to find some amazing carers who have provided care, respect, company and friendship to my son. His current carers are extremely good and work well as a team. I know the company prioritise my son's needs and do all they can to avoid disruption or distress in his life. It is this personal touch that my son and I value. We know that with Bluebird his needs will always be addressed and he will be safeguarded.

Bluebird Care (Sunderland) took care of my mother from early 2015 to May 2016. The service was outstanding and contrasted hugely with that of her two previous care companies. It was clear that Bluebird’s staff were reliable, better trained and had a greater commitment to providing a high level of care. Tasks such as collecting prescriptions or dropping off samples at the surgery had been too much trouble for previous care companies but were no problem to Bluebird. Staff also brought joy into my mother’s life – encouraging her to sing, cooking her favourite foods and ensuring she was able to watch her favourite sports on TV.
When any problems did occur they tended to be minor. The management team dealt with these in an exemplary fashion and could not have been more helpful.
Towards the end of her life, my mother’s health needs (physical and dementia) were very complex and I needed to be absolutely confident in the care that she was receiving. I had no hesitation in trusting Bluebird.
