The 5 points available are broken down as follows: 3.00 points for the first Positive Review, 2 points in total for each of the next 9 Positive Reviews (1st = 3.00, 2nd = 0.50, 3rd = 0.50, 4th = 0.25, 5th = 0.25, 6th = 0.10, 7th = 0.10, 8th = 0.10, 9th = 0.10, 10th = 0.10) ie an Home Care Agency needs 10 Reviews to receive the maximum score of 5 points.

The carers are mainly fantastic. Nan gets on very well with them all and they do everything we have asked them to do. The office staff are also very friendly. However, the issues that we have repeatedly raised have not actually been solved. Nan has early onset dementia and is fixed on timekeeping. Only 1 or 2 weekly lists have been sent so she never knows what time the carers are due. This would be fine if they came at the allocated time but the times can vary hugely. Her lunchtime visit has been as early as 11.45am and when I left her at 2 pm today no one had been. Fortunately, I was there to make her lunch and administer her meds. We have also had a number of occasions when carers have said that they asked the office to pass a message that they are running late. Nan can be forgetful but I have been with her on 2 such occasions and know that no call was made. We have tried to be patient and are aware that there have been staff issues but I almost wish we'd stayed with the Council.

My aunt is very frail now and the carers have looked after her so well from when she was relatively mobile and able to communicate more, until now when she is bedbound and unable to do absolutely anything for herself, like a baby but with dementia. A very hard job. They care for her very well and I thank them from my heart.

I would highly recommend this agency as we received excellent service from the care staff and the management.
My request for a carer was responded to promptly and with a very friendly, helpful and professional approach.
My son’s carer was always punctual, respectful and very professional. He would use his own initiative and anticipate what my son needed and do helpful things without even needing to be asked. My son was helped in a dignified manner and the experience all round was very positive and reassuring for us both.
