From the very first phone call, Home Instead were incredibly supportive and guided both my mum and me through the entire process. The care package was tailored to her individual needs, and she found the carers kind, caring, and easy to chat with. Home Instead have continued to offer support during a very difficult and emotional time.

From the first contact with Home Instead, I knew that they were the right choice to provide care for my Mum, after some months in a home.
Professional, efficient, practical but above all else, understanding. I trust their staff 100% to look after my Mum's needs. A relativelly small team of carers means that they have got to know my Mum, something which is so important for the elderly with memory issues.
Whilst I see my Mum most days, I know that the carers will be there each morning and night and I know that if something's not right or needs doing, they'll let me know.

At a time last year of emotional and practical crisis., they've given the family great service and I have nothing but praise for them as a company.

Firstly I would like thanks the manager and her team for the support and guidance over March/April 2025, in setting up a comprehensive care package for my mum. From the initial phone call they have been amazing. They enabled mum to come home from urgent respite to see if it was possible for mum to remain in her own home. The care and compassion and expertise the staff have show has been consistent and of high quality.

The communication has been brilliant from them setting up a group chat for family, the scheduler and senior carers plus the manager was a godsend. Having complete transparency with access to the live portal was invaluable and very easy to use.

Mum responded well to all the carers who each began to develop relationships with mum and in the emergency situations that arose were competent and calm helping us as a family to navigate the day to day problems that we were experiencing.

I cannot recommend them enough they are all fantastic.

The team at Home Instead looked after my Mum for 6 months, the level of care and compassion was exceptional. Having experienced a poor level of service at a different care provider previously, we were initially apprehensive but we've been so happy with Home Instead. They made such a genuine difference to Mums daily living and her anxiety was greatly reduced having a regular set of warm and friendly carers, all of whom went above and beyond.

Why should you choose Home Instead:

1. They genuinely care about the individual and their needs.
2. Attention to detail - taking the initiative and doing things without guidance, also listening to the families requests - however nuanced.

3. Professional and well trained. All of the staff that looked after Mum were excellent - Home Instead should be proud of the standard of care they are setting and the team of carers they employ.

I highly recommend Home Instead.

We've been extremely impressed by Home Instead since they first started working with our mother. Coordination is fantastic and the companions are reliable and where needed flexible and always patient. This must be a challenging occupation and it's very much to everyone's credit that it works so well.

Home Instead are a very capable and professional company that clearly show expertise in their field of work. Courteous people and extremely knowledgeable and capable people who are willing to help, listen and go beyond any normal level of expectations, that would already be accepted in the real world. I have been a client for a considerable amount of time now and have no desire too peruse any other company that offers services of the same nature.

From the first phone contact for information about the service our family's experience has been so positive.

The carers are friendly and practical, and can sense what needs doing. One member of staff in particular should win awards!

My mum has been cared for by the Home Instead team since October 2023. Since this time we have increased the amount of care she receives - she now has twelve visits a week.
My sister and I are extremely happy with the care mum gets. Mum has Alzheimer's and gets easily confused, so we particularly like the fact that she sees the same team of ladies, which gives her, and us, confidence that they know her and understand her needs.
We are able to contact the Home Instead team easily if we have any queries, and find them to be willing to help always.

We are more than happy with this service and would recommend Home Instead to anyone looking to have their loved ones cared for at home.

During a difficult time, at the end of life for my Dad, the Home Instead carers went above and beyond to care for my Mum. They didn't just meet her physical needs but made sure she was cared for holistically. Mum appreciated their care and concern and the extra effort each one made to ensure she was ok during a very difficult time. I was particularly grateful for this kindness as I was many thousands of miles away. Thank you to the team for the outstanding care for mum and the peace of mind for the family.

We have used Home Instead from early on in 2024 until just recently when my father had to move to a residential home. The standard of care that was provided for my father was exceptional - they totally understood his needs and were able to accommodate his existing rigid routine in order to minimise the distress of his changing circumstances. The care and compassion shown by all the carers was excellent and the office staff were always so helpful when things needed to change. The kindness and patience shown to our family by all of the team while we navigated our way through the process was second to none. I would highly recommend them.

Living in a village I needed to make sure mum was getting out and enjoying herself not just sitting watching tv or worrying. The team at Homeinstead have really given mum a new lease in life. In the last month alone mum has been dancing, crazy golfing, bowling and playing pool. The only thing I want is to know that mum is happy, this team help to make that happen. I'm a little envious to be honest! Couldn't wish for more for mum x

Home Instead have been providing a companion service for my mum since her Alzheimer's diagnosis 2 years ago. They provide my mum with company; a friend to talk to and someone she can go out with and feel part of the day to day world that exists around her.
They have been brilliant in keeping her motivated and also giving her the confidence that she has lost since her diagnosis.

Home Instead have also put us in touch with a group that meet every week which has also been great for my mum.

I had help from home instead for my mother who has dementia but living at home. Mum was very happy with the small group of chosen carers as she finds it difficult adapting to different people. The coordinators took this on board and massively supported us in the continuity of which carers were best for me for this to work. We had regular slots last minute slots which were generally fulfilled for us which could have been difficult if i had not had their support.
Carers were happy to do what ever was required and my mum could be a little tricky at times but they always managed to support in a caring and professional manor.
Great communication from coordinators and admin staff too.

Overall fantastic service.

Would highly recommend the service as nothing is too much. Carers made Mum feel at ease and really helped her and the dog loved them also. They were polite and always helpful. If Mum needs care in the future I would not hesitate to have them back. One member of staff in particular was also very helpful with arranging everything and organising the carers.

I am leaving a review because I can't praise the company enough since taking over the care of my elderly mother, her carers are like angels, my mum has never been so well looked after, she calls them "her girls"! They are extremely professional and always make time to talk to mum which is so important as they could be the only person she sees that day. They fill in a daily log which I can access on the portal to see how mum is and if there is any immediate cause for concern they contact me straight away. It is an excellent company not just for mum but for my peace of mind too. The admin and behind the scenes staff at Home Instead are excellent and carry out regular reviews. I appreciate the whole team effort in providing the first class care for my mum.

Our disabled son has received care from Homeinstead for about 7 years and he has received fantastic service.
Homeinstead are a very professional company and very friendly. Always sort any queries out very efficiently. They match the right carer for the client so not only is the care very good but also a good relationship develops. This is so important for our son who looks on his carers as friends and gets on with them and feels comfortable. He also has the same set of carers each week which is so important. No worrying who he is going to get each call.
The carers themselves are very trustworthy, always on time, and so pleasant. If there are any problems Homeinstead staff always inform us of any changes as soon as they can. Also if there is a new carer , the new carer will shadow his main carer for a few visits to see how they get on which is very good.

We find the portal good as we read how the call went and how our son is that day or any worries or concerns. Very happy with Homeinstead!

I can't praise Home Instead highly enough. They have made numerous changes to their usual visiting rota (to accommodate the clients hospital outpatient appointments), all the carers are unfailingly helpful and good humoured, perfect companions to visit and help my mum with daily chores. All their contributions make it viable for my mums ability to continue to live at home and, crucially, they provide respite for other family members. My mum is very happy with them all. As she has said to me, they're friendly without being intrusive.

This Home Instead office has been providing support for many years and I am very proud of everything that we have achieved.

My previous role was at a children’s hospice, where the person-centred care made such a difference in their quality of life. Because of that, I feel very passionate about helping people to keep their independence for as long as possible, wherever they are on life’s journey, making sure that their care matches their wishes at all times.

We couldn’t provide such great care without our brilliant staff either! They are a really dedicated team who always go the extra mile.

I have now worked for Home Instead for well over a decade, starting initially as a carer. I had previously worked with children but thought about a career change and realised that I wanted to help older people. It is very rewarding to build relationships and support our clients to live their lives to the fullest. I have progressed within the company over that time and am now the Care Manager. Every day is different and I really enjoy what I do.

I am passionate about providing the highest quality care that we can. I visit clients at home and it is wonderful when they say what a difference we make to their lives.

Away from work, I enjoy cooking and spending time with my husband and children.

I started my career in the care sector a little over 30 years ago. During that time, I have been employed in a variety of care settings, working with learning disabilities, the elderly and also mental health clients in a secure unit. I have also been a Registered Manager at a residential care home.

I became a carer here in May 2018 and am now the Training and Retention Manager. I came here because I believe that we can make a real difference to people’s lives, and reassure loved ones, best of all the calls are never rushed!

In my free time, I enjoy quizzes, art and football. (It’s Stoke City if you’re wondering!).

Rebecca Job Title: Office Manager Joined: 2012

I had a job in administration previously and also helped in the office part-time, managing the accounts.

From a very young age, I was used to meeting new people at Mum and Dad’s office when we lived in Spain.

I really enjoy finding out what makes people tick and seeing if they share Home Instead’s values.

I am so pleased to be working in my parent’s family business. Working here is fantastic because providing such a high standard of care is something I can be very proud of. I also love working with Mum; to see her every day is wonderful. My mum and I are both caring people, which definitely comes from my nan, as she used to work in a children’s residential home and with people with learning disabilities. I enjoy working with the team and helping to develop new staff.

In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my Husband and kids. We go on narrowboat holidays whenever we can.

Michelle Job Title: Client Services Coordinator Joined: 2014
Michelle

I originally trained as a Registered General Nurse and worked for a number of years in a general surgery ward.

After a career break to look after my children, I wanted a change from a hospital environment and was looking for a care company that didn’t rush through calls and where I would be able to spend some quality time with the clients.

I have worked here now for many years and have always supported the same clients, which is very rewarding and I’ve been able to build good relationships with them. Since starting to work in the office I have been keeping care plans updated and auditing our paperwork.

I enjoy long walks with my Jack Russell terrier, time with the family and going to the cinema.
