Home Instead (East Cheshire)

We have used Home Instead for the past nine months for in-home care for our father who has Alzheimer's. The administrative team have always been very helpful and supportive in identifying our needs and responsive to our questions, and all of the carers that we have had have been professional, well trained, kind and have in some cases become valued members of our 'extended family' as they provided care for our father.

Everyone at Home Instead are extremely kind, supportive, caring and very helpful. The service we receive is first-class, the ladies always go the extra mile. Our father's face lights up every time they arrive and this is a real joy to see, knowing how pleased Dad is to see them. The way they interact is lovely to watch, they make our father feel very special. We would recommend Home Instead to everyone, without their help and experience this process would of been so very much harder. When we leave Dad we know all of his needs are taken care of and it’s such a weight off our shoulders. All the ladies are so lovely and they can’t do enough to help, they are truly amazing. Thank you to everyone at Home instead.

The team at Home Instead have been amazing, Mum now has a smile on her face again and looks forward to her new friends visiting her every day. The pressures on us are reduced drastically as we no longer have to worry about whether Mum has had a meal and can now visit and do other jobs for her or just visit and enjoy her company. I would highly recommend Home Instead they have given Mum her life back.

The carers and service provided by Home Instead are first class. Mum' team of 3 ladies, not only care for her, they quite clearly care about her too. She looks forward to their visits and thinks of them as friends. They go out of their way to help her to be as independent as possible, whilst ensuring her needs are met. The organisation is very professional. The staff are well trained and supported in their care roles, and communicate regularly with me. I would definitely recommend Home Instead to anyone looking for client focused care for a loved one.

I have an excellent team. Just one hour in the morning, but I find they buck me up for the rest of the day.

It is reassuring that mum has someone visiting every day when I am unable to do so. Checking on shopping and that laundry is done as needed.

Since receiving care from Home Instead the difference it has had on my Mum's day to day life and those around has been fantastic. It has given everyone peace of mind and whilst Mum was very reluctant to start, it has now become an accepted part of her life. The caregivers could not have been chosen better. I often arrive to find Mum having a lovely chat whilst all her essential needs are attended to. For the first time in two years, I have been away for 10 days without worrying about what I would find on my return.

We moved here in 2011 in order to be near our daughter who lives in Langley. Our daughter made arrangements for Home Instead to assist and ensure that we had a care package in place and we have been looked after for an hour each morning. It has been the basis of our continued independence in our old age. We can leave the washing to be hung out in the garden or on the radiators and in the boiler room when the weather is not suitable for drying the clothes. The carers are very willing to manage my feet and lower legs which give me much relief. They quickly learn how to be helpful and don't need to ask for instructions.

I cannot praise enough the management and carer team for going that extra mile.

It became apparent that I needed help with my husband. I needed a break and Home Instead stepped in doing the night shift, getting my husband up and dressed and putting him to bed at night. The people in our team are exceptional and a cut above the normal carers I have met in the past. My husband has always had the best things in life and I think he deserves the best in his carers, which he now has.

I am pleased to complete this review. I could not ask for any more - the helpers are so good, kind and friendly.

Home Instead cared for our friend for a year after she was widowed and already had dementia and several physical disabilities. We found it quite easy and quick to set up the care package. The staff were super (the best of them superlative). The office was always on the end of the phone and they went the extra mile on several occasions. Advice was given and appreciated (and quoted) when it was time to seek residential care.

The carers at Home Instead Senior Care (East Cheshire) treat my mother with the utmost respect. They genuinely seem to care about her. She looks forward to them coming and they have always been punctual. They will do anything for her from general cleaning to preparing food and trips out. I would highly recommend this company.

The care provided by Home Instead has made such a difference to my life. I was really struggling before they took over the morning call but now I know that she'll have a good breakfast and a safe shower. She really looks forward to their visits and regards them as friends, she can't speak of them highly enough. Several years later, it is now my pleasure to echo what many have already stated. The care my parents-in-law have received has been outstanding at every level! All the carers have a high EQ and have clearly been through a rigorous vetting and training programme. Without exception, they managed to strike the right balance of professionalism, initiative and most importantly humanity. The management team are consummate professionals totally dedicated and authentic in their mission to get it right for the individual.

The quality of care given to mam by the Home Instead Senior Care (East Cheshire) team is of an excellent standard. They take time to get to know her and show her much kindness by the way they treat her. My mother and I are very happy with her carers and appreciate their thoughtful ways.

I have always found the office staff and proprietor obliging and pleasant to deal with, and I would recommend this company. Should my health condition worsen, I shall stay with Home Instead for my future care needs.

My mum is extremely pleased with the service that Home Instead Senior Care (East Cheshire) provide. My mum has two designated carers which is nice because they get to know mum and mum gets to know them. Nothing is too much trouble for the carers.
