We cannot thank Home Instead and all of the wonderful carers enough for the care and support they gave to my mother. Although she only received care from them for a few weeks, the impact they had on her was truly special.
Every single carer was kind, caring, compassionate and respectful. They went above and beyond to make my mother feel comfortable, valued and cared for, and it was clear that they genuinely loved what they did. My mother thought the absolute world of them, which says everything about the warmth and kindness they showed her.
As a family, knowing that Mum was in such caring and capable hands gave us enormous reassurance. The carers treated her with dignity and patience, and their friendly, thoughtful approach meant so much to both Mum and our family.
We would wholeheartedly recommend Home Instead to anyone looking for care for a loved one. The standard of care and, more importantly, the genuine compassion shown by every carer was exceptional. We are extremely grateful

It took many months for her to get used to the idea of someone coming in to help but she loves the companion that Home Instead have sent. I don't have to worry so much and her companion can help with things that mum can't do, as well as keeping her company once a week. It was all arranged very efficiently and the service is just great all round.

We were looking for care for just a couple of days for an elderly gentleman with dementia, including night stay. We were able to meet the Carer first, who was lovely, and keen to create rapport with the client, even though she was aware that communication would be difficult.

We were looking for care for just a couple of days for an elderly gentleman with dementia, including night stay. We were able to meet the Carer first, who was lovely, and keen to create rapport with the client, even though she was aware that communication would be difficult.
My only disappointment was that on the morning of our return, we were advised that medication had not been given that morning. Although this was caused by an error on our side (medication was left in sleeve but removed from prescription box), it was still given on the other days, causing us confusion about the policy.

Building trust and rapport is especially important when supporting clients living with dementia, so we are pleased that our Care Professional made such a positive impression.
We also appreciate your feedback regarding the medication. We understand how the situation could have caused confusion. Our Care Professional's can only administer medication that is clearly available and documented in line with our medication policy. In this instance, the medication's location led to some uncertainty, and while we are glad it was identified and administered on the other days, we appreciate that the inconsistency was frustrating. Your comments are valuable and help us review how we communicate any medication concerns with families to ensure greater clarity in the future.

She has good church friends who support her socially and visit her, however due to my mum's age and lack of sight, there were many tasks that were becoming more difficult for her. She was initially unsure about people she didn't know coming into the house, but now she really likes the girls, enjoys their company and values their help. Very thankful for the availability of staff in the office to update care plans and carer visits. Very thankful for their understanding to liaise with me when care staff change. Having been present when some care staff visit, I am struck by how intune and interested they are in my mum and her experiences. They treat her with respect, valuing her decisions and choices, even if they are not considered safe e.g. reheating food against manufacturer instructions, respect her desire to "waste not want not". I trust them to support her as I would which is a great lifting of a heavy burden. Thank you.
As mum finds socialising and speaking difficult, if all care activities are completed, sometimes the 1 hour is too much, hence the lower rating on value for money.

We have been very impressed with the service provided by Home Instead in Swansea. After my mum had an accident which affected her mobility, we needed some carers to come in at short notice to help her with household tasks. We contacted the company on a Friday and were set up with our first care visit on the Sunday. My mum has seen a few different carers now and they have all been brilliant - really lovely, kind and trustworthy people. We would have no hesitation in recommending the service to others.

Carers have a been very kind and considerate with mum and dad. They are observant, checking mum for any changes. They have arranged for the OT to assess my parents needs. They have phoned the doctors and other agencies when needed. Dad is taken shopping on Wednesdays. He enjoys going out.
