Home Instead Wetherby, North Leeds and Horsforth offer tailor-made home care and specialist dementia support to people living in their own homes.

Services including companionship, home help, personal care, medication support, postoperative, respite and rehabilitation, are personalised to the individual.

Specialist dementia and palliative care service work closely with local health care providers to enable non-medical support to reflect the individual’s needs and be of the highest quality.

Visits can be from one hour to 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and are provided by a team of professional CAREGivers who have undergone comprehensive training including City & Guilds accredited Alzheimer’s and dementia specialist training.

The CAREGivers are compassionate, skilled and trustworthy and the selection process ensures this as six references are obtained instead of the two required as an industry standard.

In addition, the CAREGivers have an enhanced (DBS) background check before they begin their employment.

CAREGivers are individually matched to clients on the basis of personality, interests and skills required.

The relationship of trust between the client and CAREGiver is fundamental to the provision of high-quality care so clients have a named CAREGiver at every visit.

On the first visit, a member of the management team will introduce the CAREGiver to the client and visits are arranged at a time convenient to the client.

The Management team makes regular quality assurance visits to ensure that the care being delivered matches the care plan. This ensures that they are able to react quickly to any change in clients circumstances or condition.

I have been in contact with Home Instead for the last two years arranging a timetable of care for my friend who has mobility needs and now has complex needs related to dementia. They have always been very helpful in providing cover even at the last minute when needed. Liaising with them on the phone
when my friend had difficulty in communicating with them because of language barriers they have always demonstrated great patience and willingness to meet and understand her needs .

I can't praise the care professionals at Home Instead enough. They go over and beyond to care for my mum. Since they have been looking after her my mind has been at rest. During the recent snow one of the carers walked to mum twice to ensure she had care. Another staff member spent two hours of her
own time waiting for me to arrive when there was a power cut. They are so kind and friendly, just the kind of people you want to care for a parent. Nothing is too much trouble for them and thanks to the app I get detailed notes three times a day. Communication is excellent and they keep me informed of things we need. Mum calls them her angels, they are I can't thank them enough, they are such a blessing to our family! I tell everyone about them and would recommend them to anyone - I'm so grateful!!

The firm was recommended to me by a previous client whose parent this firm also cared for. This is a difficult market to work in but the quality of care and service we received from Home Instead was excellent from start to finish. They helped deal with a number of medical crises that my father was subject
to and helped us to get him home quickly and back on his feet. They were sympathetic to changing needs (both increasing and reducing care) and dealt with me, as a son of a client, with respect. I would recommend them to others without hesitation.

The care staff always go the extra mile for Mum, they are always so cheerful and helpful. Mum is so grateful to them and looks forward to their visits. I have been so impressed and happy with the professional, caring, thoughtful and detailed approach to the start of a care plan for my Mother from Home Instead (Wetherby & North Leeds).

The people who have been to help me after being in hospital were considerate and helpful. Our experience has been very good. My mother only needs (at the moment), someone different to talk to. The carers can change as well as the time of the visit, although, the management tries not to do that. However, I can see that the short notice might be a problem if the elderly person wasn't on the
ball. My mother actually enjoys seeing different people but a confused person might find it hard.
