My concerns were unfounded, the carer is regular, reliable and has developed a great relationship with my husband, myself and wider family.
As a health care professional myself I recognise the skills that the carer has are outstanding, person-centred, recognising the need to create the best experience for my husband regardless of his mood on the day.
Does what needs doing to ensure that the experience of the visit is positive for both my husband and me. Great.
Really pleased with the service. The carers in the main are the same people - all-important with memory loss. Easy to contact, easy to talk to and they go the extra mile. Had an issue with delivered prescription medication and Home instead helped sort it out with one carer even collecting a prescription herself to help matters. They also identify problems and get on top of it. They were recommended to me and I have had very few issues. I would recommend their service and thank the carers for what they do for my very elderly relative.
The service you provide has been vital in enabling me to remain independently with my dog, in my own home. I have been very satisfied with everything. The older carers, in particular, are most adaptable and competent. I have made my feelings known to others in my position and would be happy for you to see my recommendation.
I have been amazed at the regularity of the carers coming, even during bad weather in the dark along unlit roads, even completing the journey on foot. If I have to phone the office, the staff are so very pleasant and helpful. Above all, the 95-year-old that I care for has a host of new friends (her carers) whom she loves!
Very special the love that has been shown for mum's individual needs due to struggles with dementia and mobility and often treating her to fish and chips, her favourite supper from their own money and won't accept any payback.
Very caring and kind!
We can't thank Home Instead enough!
The team my mum has to help her with her daily personal care are fantastic. The intelligence and care of the area manager ensured my mum was matched with carers that would be compatible and great company and that is what Home Instead delivered. They have fast become extended family and been invaluable support during a time of acute immobility for my mum, helping with personal care, boosting morale and being a friend. As a family, we are very happy with the professionalism and authenticity of the team as a whole. I can only recommend Home Instead as a reassuring, reliable, communicative and experienced company.
We have been using Home Instead for a long time now, to look after my Mother-in-law. She celebrated her 100th birthday last October. When the first lockdown came into play, we had a permanent carer in place. When the travel restrictions were announced, we had to get the lady home in a matter of 36 hours. This is where Home Instead were amazing, and really were our saviours. Between our three regular carers, they all took it in turns to a sleepover, until we could employ another permanent carer. We now have a permanent carer, but still, our three regular ladies come at various times during the week and weekends. We are very fond of them all. Without Home Instead we would not have been able to keep my mother-in-law in her own home. If anyone asks us about care in the home, we would always recommend Home Instead.
Having become less mobile in the last three years I appreciate the care and support I have received from Home Instead. I can call on any help I need such as extra care when returning home after time in hospital and a care home. I have got Parkinson's which is slowly getting worse but I know that I will be looked after by Home Instead. I thank all the staff and carers for making my life easier.
They handled my father with great dignity and for this, I am eternally grateful. We could not have wished for a better outcome.
My cousin was looked after by Home Instead, Wetherby for over two years. I am her next of kin, but live one hundred miles away. I was pleased that my cousin was able to remain at home with the wonderful support of Home Instead who provided the high quality of care for my cousin. Their care was always friendly, reassuring, professional and considerate. We always found the staff in the office approachable, helpful and understanding. My cousin was so fond of the staff, who became her friends. I am so grateful to Home Instead for their excellent care, enabling my cousin to stay in her own home, which was her wish.
Thank you for the kind words, Peter, it was a pleasure caring for such a wonderful lady.
From the first meeting, my husband and I found Home Instead Senior Care to be professional, sympathetic to our needs and most importantly, really approachable and friendly. The service was explained in great detail and we were made to feel we could phone for the smallest query. The entire staff were really helpful and caring and we can't praise them enough.
From the outset, and all the way through her care we received a personal and caring approach from all in the CareGiver team. When things got harder after further falls and hospital, they were flexible and understanding.
It was also important to me that my mother, who was registered blind had regular voices - not a random selection of care. The bond and trust that was built up in this way was really special and very much valued.
She eventually passed away in a Nursing Home, but we would have continued to have regular CareGiver visits at the home had COVID not put pay to them.
In a world of complexity and anxiety over what care is the best or correct - I can rest assured that the attention received from Home Instead Wetherby was the best she could have.
Thank you for the lovely comments Marvin, I wish you all the best.
Home Instead (Wetherby and North Leeds) is a top-notch provider of home care services. My mother received service from them for varying periods in the last few years and most recently several months 2019/2020 during which period we were very satisfied with the reliable and quality service from both caregivers and office staff alike. Particularly impressive is their capacity to take on new clients at short notice and thereafter to cover all eventualities - seamlessly adjusting the level of service when required. It is a Rolls Royce operation which gives peace of mind to clients and their families and as such is worth every penny.
Thank you for the kind words. I hope you're well and keeping safe.
I have nothing but praise for Home Instead, professional, friendly and accommodating should a time or day need changing. Always courteous on the phone, support and advice always on tap. Need I say More!.
I have used Home Instead Senior Care for 7/8 years and cannot fault their service. They must choose their care staff very well. All these ladies have been cheerful, competent and patient in dealing with my wife. The office staff have been friendly and efficient. It has been a pleasure to deal with them and I'm sorry circumstances have now changed and my wife has gone to full time care.
Very professional, courteous and available pretty much all the time to help with enquiries and problems. Always on time and consistent. My mum was very happy with her caregiver.
It gave me peace of mind that they would provide her care to a high standard with a cheerful, caring manner.
It was lovely to have the necessary nursing care that my husband needed straight from his hospital assessment. The alternative was care in a home while home care was sorted out. As he only lived the two months with his brain tumour and Parkinsons, we were so glad to have Home Instead who gently stepped into the breach. Thank you so much.
All of the carers I had over a 3 month period were excellent, efficient, helpful and friendly. I have used this service on 2 previous occasions and have always found the company excellent, a life saver. The carers are the sort of people who become friends.
Expensive for what they did but that is all she needed at the time. Never informed of extra charges at Bank Holidays and mileage charges.
Glad to hear that the service you received was good albeit you weren't with us long enough to get the full benefit of the Home Instead service and we were disappointed that pricing was misunderstood.

Meet the Team (14)
Following 35 years of business experience in corporate roles with well-known brands working largely in the retail sector, I wanted to do something that would make a difference.
After experiencing the difficulty of finding high-quality care for my immediate family, I very much value the approach to senior care and independence that Home Instead offers so I joined the Home Instead Wetherby office in 2016. My role is to lead the Wetherby & North Leeds team, spread the word about the Home Instead experience, and run the business aspects of the operation.
As General Manager, Cath oversees all aspects of the service with a deep commitment to the wellbeing of older adults. She’s passionate about helping people remain independent in the place they know best: home, while building lasting connections within the local community.
After previously working in adult social care for over 30 years, I took early retirement to care for a family member. I then decided to join Home Instead as a CAREGiver and loved the role so much that I wanted to develop my career. I used my skills to become a Care Service Manager looking after the Leeds area. I am now the Care Manager, overseeing all aspects of our car across Wetherby & Leeds. I really enjoy the contact with our clients and their families, so I can tailor the service we provide to their needs.
With extensive experience in the sector, Louisa brings high levels of expertise and attention to detail to her role of Client Service Manager. Louisa plans and supports her clients through their journey in care and is a valued member of our team.
Our Client Service Manager, Megan, has over 30 years of experience in the NHS in various nursing roles, and so brings a high level of understanding and expertise into her role, ensuring our clients receive the personalised care they need.
Nina beings her wealth of experience as a Care Professional into her role as Care Co-Ordinator. With her infectious enthusiasm and passion for the caring profession, we are incredibly fortunate to have Nina as a central member of our Wetherby team.
As Client Experience Manager, Gemma makes sure every client and their family feels genuinely supported. She’s all about personal, flexible care that adapts to each individual’s needs and building trust with our wonderful community.
Katherine joined Home Instead Wetherby in October 2023 after completing a degree in Marketing Management. She joined the team to share online the amazing home care service provided to support clients to live well at home locally.
Before starting my career with Home Instead I was a Business Development Manager but joined as both a Community Representative and a CAREGiver, so I could make a difference in people’s lives, having previously nursed my mum who was living with dementia.
Racheal has over 12 years experience in the sector. As Recruitment Manager, she ensures the efficient recruitment of Care Professionals that best match our client’s needs.
Racheal chose to join Home Instead as the company’s values and culture align with her own beliefs.
Before joining Home Instead, I trained as a hairdresser but became disillusioned. I first fell in love with caring as a personal assistant privately for four years, then trained with Home Instead as a CAREGiver. I want to pass on my passion and experience in care to ensure our clients receive the care they need. Outside of work, I love running and keeping fit, reading and spending time with family.
I joined Home Instead four years ago as a Care Professional which I absolutely loved and met some lovely clients and fellow Care Pros along the way. It's been a pleasure helping to look after them. I have now moved into the role as our Audit Manager which will see me oversee and support the smooth running of the business.
Fiona has worked in the care sector most of her adult life, and enjoys every day of it. As well as caring for clients, she also supports Care Professionals in the field.
She feels lucky to work for Home Instead and enjoys meeting wonderful clients and Care Professionals.
Kendra joined Home Instead in 2022 having previously worked within the financial services sector in HR and Scheduling functions.
She values Home Instead's ethos and relishes building relationships with clients, their families and Care Professionals.
