Very good care service for my mother.
Dad required escalating amounts of care due to deteriorating health and Home Instead Senior Care were excellent in organising a care package geared to his needs. His allocated carers were friendly and competent in dealing with him. Many thanks for his care, it was excellent.
Home Instead provided outstanding support to my mother. They listened to her, made her feel good about herself and were very caring.
When my mother became frailer and began to fall they responded immediately, supporting not only my mother but myself during this stressful time.
I highly recommend them.
I have received excellent care and help from my regular carer and am sorry to lose her. However I cannot agree with the new regime, the cost of home help being raised to £30 is not realistic. I am therefore leaving you at the end of June 2018. As I had a lot of care for my husband from 2011-2012 until he died, I am sorry to be losing you.
Great to hear that you have enjoyed the service and it is a shame that we can't agree a programme to support you in the future. Sound management isn't always popular.
At first, mum was very sceptical about having home care and having strangers in her own home. She had always been independent.
The Home Instead Senior Care (Wetherby & North Leeds) were all very kind and considerate of her needs and went over and beyond to ensure her wellbeing. She became friends with all of them and she really appreciated all the help they gave her to enable her to stay in her own home. They were all well motivated, trustworthy and caring. I would have no hesitation in recommending them for my own home care needs.
I have used this company several times now. They have always been friendly, matched the Carer with the client and have always been helpful and professional.
Very happy with the service I receive from my carers and staff at Home Instead Senior Care.
The management and administrative staff have sound knowledge and recognition of individuals. My husband was recognised whilst walking alone and our regular carer was informed by a colleague, then she made contact with me to ensure I knew.
Absolutely excellent, had to set up a care package quickly, very helpful team, all set up with no problems.
Carers are excellent especially as they weren't welcomed with open arms by Mum!
Would highly recommend!
Mum only used Home Instead for one month before she was admitted to hospital after a fall. They were very professional. I liked the hour-long visits it meant mum wasn't rushed. Management caring, they rang several times to see how mum was in hospital.
The staff are punctual and caring and have built a great rapport with my father and the rest of the family.
The office is responsive and professional at all times. I would highly recommend.
I would like to say the company was extremely professional and helpful. On occasions when I needed cover at short notice (ie 24 hours) to look after my mum they nearly always managed to provide it which was very commendable as I know it is not easy having to juggle carers shifts about so other clients are not affected. I was also very happy about leaving my mum in the hands of these caring and knowledgeable carers who my mum enjoyed having look after her.
Excellent, caring, thoughtful and exemplary service by all team members.
Home Instead provided a supportive and flexible care package for my mother, which enabled her to stay in her own home. The carers were kind and helpful and provided Mum with a high standard of care. The office staff were very considerate and accommodating.
This senior care provider always achieved the highest standards from first to the last contact continuously. They treated and cared for my mother better than I could have done. It was overwhelmingly obvious that they are an extremely well organised and totally professional firm displaying consideration compassion and empathy for the client at all times. They are not the cheapest of providers but provide excellent value for money in other words "they do exactly (and more) what it says on the tin".
Home Instead have provided an excellent service for the past 18 months, responding to changing needs, and always sending excellent carers. Everything, both caring and organisation, has been first class.
The young lady we had last time put herself out to make sure we were both okay. Sadly, my husband has had to go into a nursing home as I can no longer deal with him. Your staff are all wonderful.
Home Instead was excellent in every respect. The care they provided made all the difference in enabling my mother to stay at home rather than going into a nursing home.
We engaged a Home Instead carer early in 2016 to visit my mother at home a couple of times a week for social contact, outings and light housework. Mummy had been diagnosed with Parkinson's in 2014 and increasing dementia was making it difficult for her to manage her home. We met the Home Instead manager and were impressed by how she wanted to know mummy as a person - her interests, lifestyle and likes/dislikes. She found a super carer with whom mummy quickly built up a rapport.
In the summer of 2016, mummy was hospitalised for an infection causing a deterioration in her mental capacity so she could no longer safely live at home; her Home Instead carer visited her in hospital in her own unpaid time. We were impressed and organised with Home Instead for the carer to visit mummy weekly at the care home. She sets up FaceTime so mummy gets to see our faces; she takes mummy out, reads to her and takes an interest in her wellbeing. I live 5 hrs away - this weekly update is invaluable.
Home Instead have provided care at home for both my parents over the past 5 years. The service has always been excellent and they have gone above and beyond my expectations. They are very caring, friendly and easy to work with. Their service was initially tailored to my late father's needs and is now tailored to my mother's needs, as she suffers from Alzheimer's. They have adapted their service as our needs have changed and are extremely proactive, flexible and supportive when urgent and unexpected health issues arise. They enable my mother to continue living happily at home and are invaluable to us as a family.

Meet the Team (14)
Following 35 years of business experience in corporate roles with well-known brands working largely in the retail sector, I wanted to do something that would make a difference.
After experiencing the difficulty of finding high-quality care for my immediate family, I very much value the approach to senior care and independence that Home Instead offers so I joined the Home Instead Wetherby office in 2016. My role is to lead the Wetherby & North Leeds team, spread the word about the Home Instead experience, and run the business aspects of the operation.
As General Manager, Cath oversees all aspects of the service with a deep commitment to the wellbeing of older adults. She’s passionate about helping people remain independent in the place they know best: home, while building lasting connections within the local community.
After previously working in adult social care for over 30 years, I took early retirement to care for a family member. I then decided to join Home Instead as a CAREGiver and loved the role so much that I wanted to develop my career. I used my skills to become a Care Service Manager looking after the Leeds area. I am now the Care Manager, overseeing all aspects of our car across Wetherby & Leeds. I really enjoy the contact with our clients and their families, so I can tailor the service we provide to their needs.
With extensive experience in the sector, Louisa brings high levels of expertise and attention to detail to her role of Client Service Manager. Louisa plans and supports her clients through their journey in care and is a valued member of our team.
Our Client Service Manager, Megan, has over 30 years of experience in the NHS in various nursing roles, and so brings a high level of understanding and expertise into her role, ensuring our clients receive the personalised care they need.
Nina beings her wealth of experience as a Care Professional into her role as Care Co-Ordinator. With her infectious enthusiasm and passion for the caring profession, we are incredibly fortunate to have Nina as a central member of our Wetherby team.
As Client Experience Manager, Gemma makes sure every client and their family feels genuinely supported. She’s all about personal, flexible care that adapts to each individual’s needs and building trust with our wonderful community.
Katherine joined Home Instead Wetherby in October 2023 after completing a degree in Marketing Management. She joined the team to share online the amazing home care service provided to support clients to live well at home locally.
Before starting my career with Home Instead I was a Business Development Manager but joined as both a Community Representative and a CAREGiver, so I could make a difference in people’s lives, having previously nursed my mum who was living with dementia.
Racheal has over 12 years experience in the sector. As Recruitment Manager, she ensures the efficient recruitment of Care Professionals that best match our client’s needs.
Racheal chose to join Home Instead as the company’s values and culture align with her own beliefs.
Before joining Home Instead, I trained as a hairdresser but became disillusioned. I first fell in love with caring as a personal assistant privately for four years, then trained with Home Instead as a CAREGiver. I want to pass on my passion and experience in care to ensure our clients receive the care they need. Outside of work, I love running and keeping fit, reading and spending time with family.
I joined Home Instead four years ago as a Care Professional which I absolutely loved and met some lovely clients and fellow Care Pros along the way. It's been a pleasure helping to look after them. I have now moved into the role as our Audit Manager which will see me oversee and support the smooth running of the business.
Fiona has worked in the care sector most of her adult life, and enjoys every day of it. As well as caring for clients, she also supports Care Professionals in the field.
She feels lucky to work for Home Instead and enjoys meeting wonderful clients and Care Professionals.
Kendra joined Home Instead in 2022 having previously worked within the financial services sector in HR and Scheduling functions.
She values Home Instead's ethos and relishes building relationships with clients, their families and Care Professionals.
