Bluebird have provided carers to my Mum, who suffers from Lewey Body Dementia, since 2021 for most of which time they have provided Live in Care.
All 3 of Bluebird's live in carers have provided exemplary care to Mum throughout the gradual progressive decline caused by this condition and have built
up a great rapport with Mum, as have Bluebird's visiting carers too when we've had them. I couldn't be happier with the exemplary standard of care and crucial emotional support provided to Mum through her difficult illness and to me as her registered carer.
Having Bluebird around takes the pressure off me and has enabled me to continue working to pay the bills, and to sort out all the crucial power of attorney issues for Mum. I can't recommend Bluebird enough as a care agency

I have been receiving regular care from Bluebird Care since May 2024.
Throughout, I have found them to be completely reliable and well-organised.
I have two regular carers who were introduced to me beforehand and I am extremely satisfied with the service.
The carers are always prompt, friendly and
highly professional and clearly take pleasure and pride in their work.
A third carer was needed just for a few days because of rota issues. I was fully informed and she shadowed a regular carer and it worked well.
Dealing with the regional office - the customer services manager and her team - is easy, straightforward and friendly.
In summary, I would want to say - really nice people doing a really good job.

I have used Bluebird Care Wandsworth to provide personal care for two months. The service has been excellent, professional and reliable. The main care is provided by a former nurse and when she went on leave there was a good handover to her temporary replacement and the same standards maintained.

My grandfather has Alzheimer's and Bluebird Care took over his care through direct payment after previously having issues with another provider. From the very beginning, they have been extremely knowledgeable, helpful and compassionate whilst maintaining a high level of professionalism. My grandfather
was extremely nervous about having carers in since his previous experiences with a council contracted provider, Bluebird Care were a complete breath of fresh air. They look after his meals, medication and domestics, the two carers have built up such a rapport with him that he looks forward to their company. They go beyond what is expected of them and forward on any ideas to improve things or concerns. During Alzheimer's "episodes" and in the stresses of dealing with him on these occasions, the carers and the team have remained calm, understanding and communicative. We are so happy and relieved to have such a great team helping my grandfather.

Bluebird has provided my mother with a speedy service exactly when it was required. She has a team of carers attending to her needs and each carer is warm and caring and so kind to my mother. All are also good-humoured and beautiful people. They are dedicated to their job but provide a service that
is more than just a job! I could not recommend them more highly.

Bluebird Care has stepped in to provide excellent care for my uncle who is in his 90s and is used to being entirely independent, so has his own way of doing things. They have been compassionate with him and tried to keep things as much as they were as possible, whilst helping and encouraging with personal
care, eating, drinking fluids, medication etc.
They are very professional about what they do, both in the care they give directly to my uncle but also in keeping us informed and up to date on how he is doing and what other things might be helpful for him. If I have questions of my own, I always get a prompt response from the local care manager or from the office.
Their professionalism has allowed me to feel confident that my uncle is being well looked after so I no longer have to worry about him all the time.
I would be very happy to recommend Bluebird Care to others.

Bluebird Care could not have been more brilliant with my mum who is a 76-year-old with dementia. From the office staff to the carer in question, my mum and I were absolutely delighted with their kindness, care and good humour. Sadly, we have had to terminate our contract with Bluebird as my mum's needs
have become too great to manage at home and she has opted to move to a care home. I would not hesitate in recommending Bluebird to friends and family.

When we first arranged care for our friend, I was impressed by the thoroughness of the care manager and the professionalism with which she approached our friend's needs. Throughout the time, since care was started, the care manager has been consistently helpful and approachable. Our friend has also
been very positive in her comments about the carers who came to her home.

Mum started needing care from August 2023 because of Dementia and Alzheimers Disease. Bluebird rose to the job and provided excellent care for her, personal and otherwise until she went into hospital at the end of March 2024. She very much enjoyed the company of and chatting to her friendly carers and,
in the main, responded to their kindness. I know Mum had her 'off days' when she could be a challenge but her carers managed her compassionately and with dignity.

We had Bluebird carers come to wash and change my 90-year-old father with advanced dementia.
They are an excellent company.
The carers were very friendly, put my father at ease, punctual and good at their jobs.
The office staff were also great and were always willing to help.
All in all I cannot
recommend Bluebird enough.

We have nothing but praise for Bluebird. My mother moved very rapidly from once daily assistance to need for full care following hospital admission in December coming up to Christmas. Bluebird managed to pull together a team of 2 carers four times daily in time to get her home just after boxing day,
a fantastic achievement at a difficult time of year.
The carers themselves were magnificent, helpful, cheerful, compassionate and had the ability to coax her into eating and drinking where we could not. They managed her wonderfully until she reached the end.
We thoroughly recommend them.
We are both Medical Professionals.

My husband and I have received excellent care throughout. Skilful, sympathetic and conscientious always, delivered with good humour. We think we are very lucky. Care for myself includes personal hygiene, providing well-planned meals -including shopping and assistance for physio exercise. My husband
has mild dementia and tends to wander and needs a good deal of shepherding to get washed and dressed, getting to bed etc. Our carer does this patiently and has built up an excellent rapport with him.

Bluebird Care was of critical help when bridging the gap between social services-approved care for our uncle and the date it actually started (two months later) as we were also out of the country and his only family. We were completely assured knowing they were the only people in contact with Uncle
as their care, compassion and professionalism were beyond our hopes and expectations. They were the only care provider recommended by his GP as none of her patients has a bad word to say about them (apparently it doesn't get better than that!) We are now continuing to use them for his social services care allowance and are more than happy to top up each week to know he is getting the best care.

I am my mum can't commend Bluebird Care Wandsworth enough for the outstanding care Mum's carer provides; she is committed to meeting all of Mum's needs. She is kind, thoughtful, friendly, and professional. She goes out of her way to ensure Mum is holistically cared for and no task is too small. We would
also like to commend the customer service manager. She has implemented outstanding client care and support planning towards Mum's care package. This has allowed Mum to retain some independence despite being very disabled. Bluebird Care Wandsworth is lucky to have such great employees.

This is the second care service I have used in the last 12 months and they are brilliant. Communication, is clear, straight forward and responses are timely. They are flexible and work alongside me supporting both my mother, who has dementia and myself. They support my mother three times a week, helping
her go shopping, swimming and other activities, that are keeping her independent and active. Life is still stressful. But there is a confidence in the service that my
mum is getting that has alleviated some of the worry and stress my family in under. The Bluebird team is professional and caring and I would recommend them to anyone.

My husband had a carer to shower him and dress him five days a week. They were godsends, they treated him with kindness and dignity and listened to everything he said. They helped him to go up and down stairs and helped him with his breakfast. He suffers from Parkinson's and dementia and they showed
him patience and respect.

Bluebird Care provided to my mother is exceptional. With me living in Ireland and after my mother’s last carer providers were absolutely terrible, I did my research looking for the best care for my mother. A care provider that would give me peace of mind, knowing her needs were met. From the moment
we started with Bluebird, nothing is too much trouble. The office staff and area manager listened to the package my mother needed and carried it through. So friendly and helpful. My mother is a lot happier having a permanent carer. Her carer is well presented and friendly with a caring nature. She listens to my mother and chats about everyday stuff. As my mother at the moment is housebound due to a bad fall at Christmas, her carer helps her with her physio, gets shopping, cleans and collects her prescription, etc. She is a credit to Bluebird. Thank you for your excellent service.

I’m sure like most people I had no experience of ‘home care’ until my dad George, whom I adored, became seriously ill. I’d always believed him to be invincible and it was a complete shock to me to find out he was a mere mortal like the rest of us… and so began a very emotional journey with some good and not so good care along the way and sadly for our family, no happy ending.

I experienced for myself the huge impact care from a stranger has, not only on the person receiving the support but the wider family too. And so I decided to stand up and be counted and that’s where Bluebird Care Wandsworth was born in 2011. My background lent itself perfectly to the skills I needed to establish an organization that could make a positive difference to others who live in the same community as me.

Rated by CQC as 'Outstanding' for Leadership and widely regarded in Wandsworth as the Marks & Spencer of care, expanding our ‘care family’ in 2017 to cover our neighbouring Borough of Lambeth was a natural progression in our ongoing journey. It’s unbelievably rewarding to spend each day making someone else’s and to have a team working for me who share the same values and standards.

Our care is different. It goes far beyond companionship and ticking off tasks. We are determined to give our customers the very best care at home available - the sort of care I wanted for my dad. We spend an enormous amount of time and attention in selecting the right people to join our team. Those who make the grade are trained to standards that exceed those of any other home care company in the area. They receive continuous training and development to make sure they meet the most exacting standards and offer the most effective care. We help our customers face many health challenges including all kinds of dementia, stroke, brain injury, MND, MS and Parkinson's among a full range of neurological conditions.

We are part of the nationally renowned Bluebird Care, the country’s market leader and foremost provider of private care-at-home.

This means that whilst my team is local, with the all-important ‘local’ company feel and friendly personal service, we benefit from the support structure of a respected and award-winning national organization with systems in place to ensure unparalleled standards of care – something a smaller individual local business couldn’t hope to match.

Job Title: Registered Care Manager

Like many people, I switched my career to Health & Social Care after a member of my family had a very poor experience. In this case, it was my grandparent who was in a care home. My initial career started in solar energy design back home in Yorkshire but now I couldn't imagine working in any other sector.

I moved to London with my partner and joined a small complex care company initially as a Field Care Supervisor and then Area Care Manager. By studying independently at the same time, I ultimately achieved my goal to become a Registered Care Manager.

I feel lucky to have supported the people we care for across all levels from delivering care myself to operational management. This has given me a huge insight and appreciation for the hard work our carers carry out on a daily basis, and the support our customers need to remain comfortable and safe in their own homes.

It’s a privilege to lead such a successful and dedicated team and to share in our fantastic reputation for care as it should be.

I’m still very much involved with our wonderful carers – many of whom have been with us for many years now– and I love seeing the journey they each take from the day they start working for us.

I am also the person who speaks to those enquiring about our service, a role I take incredibly seriously.

I was once that person not knowing where to start and needing help for my own mum and I know just how scary and confusing the whole process can be. I don’t want anyone to feel as overwhelmed as I did and so it’s a very personal thing for me that I give the very best advice I can.

It’s a privilege to do what I do.

My interest in care began at school where I studied Health and Social Care. After continuing on to college and completing my NVQs, I began working in a care home. It didn’t take long to realise that working with people in a care home wasn’t for me – they should be in their own homes.

My great-grandmother, unfortunately, had a bad experience with care, and this made me want to prove that not all care is of a poor standard. I began working as a carer for Bluebird Care and worked my way up. I certainly feel I am fulfilling my ambition. I am really proud of the work that we all do here and we are most certainly proving to people that high-quality care is out there.

I'm now Customer Services Manager. It’s hugely rewarding to make such a difference to others. I truly enjoy my work and am thankful to Bluebird Care for allowing me to do what I love.

I go out and assess the needs of the person leaving the hospital and ensure everything is ready for them to come home and start their road to recovery with us. I love it!

This part of my work as a Care Supervisor is all about teamwork with my beautiful Bluebird Care family.

I’ve wanted to help others for as long as I can remember.

When I was little, my grandad suffered a stroke. He lost mobility in his left hand and my siblings and I would visit him as often as we could, encouraging him to do the hand exercises his doctor had prescribed. Little by little he gradually regained his strength.

This was almost magical for me. As a young girl, I had already learned the lesson that caring for my grandad and believing in his abilities – when he hardly believed in them himself – really paid off! The desire to help others has been a lifelong passion ever since. I feel it’s my vocation and I’m proud of my ability to feel empathy and connect with people. My career with Bluebird Care is a dream come true for me and my enthusiasm remains as strong as ever.

I am proud to represent the company well and uphold its high values.
