We got a truly professional, friendly and caring service for my mother who needed help with washing. Despite it being only for a month in the end, I cannot fault the team for their dedication, personability and kindness. Thank you very much!

Knowing what is best for a loved one is not easy when you are suddenly forced into an unfamiliar world. We wanted a wrap wround package that would take the pressure away from the family member who lived locally, and that would include updates for everyone. We wanted visits that weren't rushed. We wanted
to know if there was a health issue it would be escalated and dealt with quickly. We wanted caring people who mum would look forward to seeing.
Home Instead were superb, did everything that was promised, and we were very happy with the care mum received. They are not cheap, but they were absolutely worth every penny. We wanted quality care for our mum and that is exacly what we got.

Carers are reliable, helpful and conscientious. They work efficiently but in a friendly manner. I very much appreciate their work. I have serious hearing and loss they respond well to my needs - eg facing me when speaking, not speaking too quickly or rephrasing what they originally said. They also
communicate well with my husband.

The team leader has taken time to get to know my parents by visiting in advance of starting the support which in my opinion has helped to make for a smoother start to the care.
The care requirements were discussed in advance and some helpful opportunities were pointed out by the team leader to get
in place before the care commenced.
Communication by phone and email has been good.
The care team are efficient and friendly.
So far, I have had a positive experience with the Home Instead Team.

We approached Home Instead on a recommendation some months ago with a view to starting my elderly Mum with a couple of hours' help a week which we can then increase as and when needed. My Mum is fiercely independent and was not at all happy that she needed help with the day to day running of her home
in order that she could continue to live there independently.
A member of staff at the Worle office was extremely helpful and empathetic from the start and paired Mum with a lovely lady who fits our needs and Mum's personality extremely well.
Whilst it is still early days, we would have no hesitation in recommending Home Instead - the experience we have had to date has surpassed our expectations.

When thinking about care for a loved one it is, a big decision. Not only are they going to be caring for that person, but they are entering their home, and trust is a huge factor.
On meeting with Home Instead to discuss my mother's needs, I was instantly at ease with what I heard. They try hard to
match carers with their client. Consistency with carers in order that trust is built between both client and carer. So it was easy to finally put a care plan in place!
I can't articulate really how grateful I am that they are helping me to care for my mum.me I feel a great relief and more importantly, my mum just loves her carers coming to visit and helping her with whatever it is she may need on any given visit!
Home Instead have been extremely supportive towards myself in checking everything is going as I had hoped and that my mum is happy, my goodness she is!
I am so very grateful to every one of the team but in particular to mum's TEAM of personal carers!

Being elderly and told that I could no longer drive, I was worried that I could not manage to get provisions etc. I was also worried because I was getting increasingly disabled. All the carers have a real understanding of Mum's needs and remain helpful, even when because of her dementia she is difficult. They will do shopping for her, even for single items and when she feels confident enough, take her out as well. Brilliant service.

The carers are all very friendly, kind and supportive. They treat mum with respect and dignity. The company always keeps in touch, checking in from time to time and doing regular care plan reviews. I am very happy with Home Instead.

I am very pleased with the care my mum is receiving, it's nice to know that she is happy with the carers and gets on well with them, nothing seems too much trouble if she asks them to do anything. The care my mum is getting is suitable for her needs it give me and my family peace of mind that someone
is coming in daily to attend to her needs ,as we live in Bristol and she is in Weston, I would highly recommend home instead as a very good company.

Very happy with the care and concern shown by of all the staff from Home Instead. Mum's regular carers and always on time and are polite and courteous. They have built up a very nice relationship with her and she feels very comfortable and relaxed with them, which is so helpful in times when she is
feeling low or under the weather. They always have plenty to talk about with her and show extra interested in hobbies and topics that she is interested in. And if family have ever been at the house when they are there, they are friendly towards us all. They are happy to take Mum out to the local shops too. If there have been times when Mum has been unwell then the staff have been proactive in getting things sorted.
The family appreciate the care and time that has been spent in matching Mum to her carers and this has resulted in a very successful experience for us all. Without the team from Home Instead, Mum would not be able to carry on living at home, and for that we are most grateful.

Our regular care pro was about to leave us, having been promoted within Home Instead. Marvellous for her, devastating for us. Home Instead knew we were very anxious about a change to Dad's care pro, they were so supportive, caring and kind as we all made adjustments.
They were patient, and listened
to our anxieties, in the end matching Dad with two lovely new care pros.

I am very happy with the standard of care provided for Dad. He was very dubious to have strangers, as he put it, coming in the house.

My partner and I have a motorhome, so during normal circumstances, we’re normally away most weekends. If we’re not away and the weather is nice I spend a huge amount of time in the garden, gardening. I was born and raised on the Isle of Wight with my sister and twin brother. When I left school, I took up a 3 year course at college for landscape gardening which I really enjoyed doing and being outdoors. Then I worked for 2 Harvester restaurants as part of the management team in Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire. I moved back to the Isle of Wight and that's when I came across care, I worked for 2 care companies, but I had to stop after my motorbike accident back in 2015. When I was able to go back to work, I moved back to Hertfordshire and started to work for Home Instead in Hemel Hempstead as a care coordinator.


I then moved to Sampford Courtenay and lived there for 4 years, but I also worked for the Tavistock Home Instead office where I was the On Call Manager and Scheduler for 3 & a half years.


Care is a job that I enjoy doing to help and support anyone who needs people like us and find the job very rewarding. I speak to our clients and Care Professionals every day, asking how their day has been and lots more, it is so lovely to hear stories from clients and what they enjoy doing.


The training and support that I got from Home Instead over the 6 years have been amazing, they are always willing to go that extra mile no matter what and working with the office team and care professionals have also been really supportive.
