At Relax Care, independence, comfort and safety shape every decision.
Before any support begins, a complimentary assessment is carried out in your home. This conversation is designed to understand routines, preferences and what matters most to you. There is no pressure and no obligation. The purpose is simply to provide clarity, answer questions and explain the support available.
From that assessment, a personalised care plan is developed. Weekly costs vary because care needs differ from person to person. The figures provided reflect the typical level of support funded by local authorities in the region and offer a useful benchmark.
Any additional or privately funded care beyond that level is charged at £23.80 per hour. This rate aligns with local authority fee guidance and ensures pricing remains transparent and fair, without compromising quality.
The overall weekly cost will depend on the type and level of support required. Visit duration, companionship time, overnight or disturbed-night support and the complexity of care all influence the final figure. Every element is explained clearly during the initial meeting so decisions can be made with confidence and full understanding.
There are no hidden charges.
The aim is straightforward. To provide reliable, high-quality care at a fair and honest price.

If you are looking for care for someone you love, you deserve to know who is ultimately responsible for the service you are choosing.
I am Andrew Walsh, Co-Founder and Director of Relax Care, and I serve as the Responsible Individual under the Regulation and Inspection of Social Care (Wales) Act 2016. That means I carry legal and moral accountability for the quality and safety of the care delivered.
I have worked in health and social care for approximately 15 years and hold a Level 5 qualification in Leadership for Health and Social Care Services. My role is not just to set direction, but to ensure standards are protected. Systems are reviewed. Performance is monitored. Risks are addressed early. Improvement is continuous.
I work closely with Steven Reilly, Registered Manager, who oversees the day-to-day delivery of care. Together, we ensure that leadership is clear, responsibilities are defined, and families are never left uncertain about who is accountable.
Care in someone’s home is deeply personal. It requires trust. My responsibility is to ensure that trust is earned through consistency, structure and visible oversight.
Outside of work, I am a husband and father of three. That perspective shapes how seriously I take the responsibility of safeguarding dignity and safety in the homes of others.
For many families, the first real conversation about care feels significant. I understand that. Inviting someone into your home is not a small decision.
As Registered Manager of Relax Care, I lead the day-to-day delivery of the service. More importantly, I am often the person who visits, sits at the kitchen table and takes the time to listen properly. Before any support begins, I want to understand what matters to you. Routines. Preferences. Concerns. The small details that make your home feel like home.
I have worked in social care for approximately 12 years and hold a Level 5 Diploma in Health and Social Care. My role is to ensure that care is organised, consistent and safe. After our initial conversation, I developed a clear, tailored care plan that reflects both practical needs and personal priorities. It is never generic. It is built around the individual.
As care continues, I remain involved. Support is reviewed. Questions are answered. Concerns are addressed promptly. You will always know who to contact.
Outside of work, I am a partner and father. That perspective shapes how I approach this role. Care should be delivered with patience, clarity and respect, in the same way any family would expect for their own.
