Our 94-year-old father's health was deteriorating slowly with another care company visiting for 1 hour each day Mon-Fri. He was otherwise independent getting up, making breakfast and dinner etc and getting logs for his wood burner. But with a cancer and dementia diagnosis, he needed help. We had to find replacement carers and had to extend to the weekend. This is when we engaged Bloomfield as his health started to change fast. They were brilliant with easy to arrange changed care as needed for when needed. They had capacity, which turned out to be fundamentally essential. Within 2 weeks he lost the ability to move around and was unable to take his meds, get food and other basics to the point we needed 3 visits a day until he needed an ambulance. At all stages, the manager understood and responded immediately to his changing needs. The quality of care was fantastic and the understanding given to a challenging client was exemplary. We are so glad we found Bloomfield Care. They were a godsend.
The quality of the care being provided to my dad is excellent. He is treated with dignity and respect and it shows in the way he is looked after and in the personal care he receives. This is the result of staff who care and the manager, who has a true vocation.
We transferred to Bloomfield Care West Berkshire in July this year and it was the best decision we made. The care manager instantly understood what we were looking for in terms of care, reliability and communication. We have regular guaranteed time slots (within a 15-minute window) so I am able to plan my own day in the knowledge that the carers will arrive at the same time each day and tend to my husband's needs. The carers are compassionate, caring, and well trained and it's lovely to hear them chatting away with my husband. On one occasion my husband was unwell and I had to go out to an appointment, so I spoke with the care manager before I left, and she sent me a text message after the carers had been to confirm that he was OK and settled in his chair. It is things like this that make such a difference knowing that your loved one is safe. Thank you Bloomfield Care West Berkshire.
We are really pleased with the care my mother is receiving, which is twice a day at the moment. They are kind and caring and appropriately respond to her needs, particularly around her medication. I can review how the visit to my mother has gone by using the helpful app. The feedback is also helpful in knowing how to respond to any issues that arise. The manager is particularly helpful in supporting us with my mother's changing needs.
I missed her so much when she had a two-week break that we had to ask for her to come back. She is still with us.
Thank you for the lovely feedback, it means a lot to us all.
All the care that my mother received was of the highest possible standard. Nothing was too much trouble. The settling-in process was seamless with Mum feeling at home with the carers straight away because of the careful way in which their introduction to her life was managed. The carers helped her with every aspect of her personal care in a very dignified and gentle manner. The carers have many years of experience, and it shows in the way in which they also guide and care for the rest of the family so that the correct decisions are made at every step of the journey. I recommend them unreservedly.
Thank you so much for your lovely words; looking after your mum was a pleasure.
This team has been outstanding with all aspects of my mum's care. Their communication and updates had been first-class, nothing seems to be too much trouble. Would highly recommend this company. I was a carer myself for many years so consider ourselves extremely lucky to of found such an amazing team.
Thank you for you feedback its always to hear that clients and family are happy with the service that we are offering.

Having grown up in Watford living on a working farm, I now live and work in Dorset, and what a lovely county Dorset is. Our young family love the great natural spaces and amazing coastline that is on our doorstep.
My working life started as a part-time trolley collector for a big American Retailer, and 15 years later after a brief spell in Australia, I was running my own store. The experience of retail then took me to the position of Managing Director for an ethical retail chain in Bristol with a focus on Organic and high-welfare products.
The big change came when, with the support of my wife we invested in a Wiltshire Farm Foods franchise, which we managed for a couple of years.
Starting Bloomfield Care with Helen Blunden has been the most rewarding experience of all, learning all that goes into providing exceptional Care. We are very proud of the approach we take, and our understanding of the partnerships between us and our clients.
When I am not working, I fill in as a taxi driver for our very busy children, with the 2 boys fully involved with Wimborne Rugby Club and our little girl wanting to go riding every spare minute.
My name is Helen, I have 4 children and 3 Grandchildren. I have worked in various sectors of the care industry. Throughout my career I have taken on the role of an NVQ Assessor, Deputy manager both in residential settings and within the community as well as a care trainer.
I feel each of my roles has enabled me to develop the skills, knowledge and experience to lead me where I am today, which is passionate and dedicated in delivering a high service to our clients whilst empowering our staff to achieve their own goals and ambitions.
If you speak to those who know me personally and professionally, they will say I am kind, fair, compassionate, and approachable. My motto is everything seems better discussed over coffee and cake!
With over 16 years of experience in the care industry, I’ve had the privilege of working across a variety of sectors—from running a domiciliary care agency to serving as a Registered Manager and business owner. Each role has deepened my passion for delivering high-quality, compassionate care.
I chose to join Bloomfield because of their strong ethos and reputation for putting people at the heart of everything they do. Their commitment to person-centred care, dignity, and respect perfectly aligns with my own values and approach to supporting others.
Outside of work, I live with my husband, with whom I've shared over 20 wonderful years. We love holidaying in the sun, but my true happy place is Cornwall. There, I enjoy paddle boarding, slowing down with a good book, and soaking up the peace and natural beauty the coast has to offer.
My name is Eilish. I have worked in care now for several years in a variety of settings.
I love the work that I do and I am passionate about ensuring people get the care they need and deserve in a person-centred way.
In my spare time, I spend time with my husband, our 2 girls and 2 dogs as well as seeing friends. I do like reading, movies and cake!!
Kim joined Bloomfield Care, bringing with her a wealth of experience in the healthcare industry. Her extensive background and expertise are invaluable in contributing to Bloomfield Care's commitment to providing exceptional care and service to those we serve.
I started my journey in care over 14 years ago when I took a job as a carer, originally thinking it would simply be a part-time role around my husband and children. Very quickly, I realised how rewarding the work was, and it soon became a career I truly love.
Over the years, I have worked in many roles across both domiciliary care and care home settings, including Carer, Senior Carer, Team Leader, Care Coordinator, Deputy Manager, Registered Manager and Trainer. Each role has helped me build a strong understanding of the care sector and the importance of providing compassionate, person-centred support.
I now work as the Client Relations and Business Development Manager, a role that suits me perfectly as I love meeting people, supporting families and helping them find the right care for their loved ones.
Outside of work, I am married and have three children. I enjoy spending time with family and friends, cooking and going on long countryside walks with our dog. I’m very much a people person and love building meaningful relationships, both in my work and personal life.
