Purpose of position:

With a working base in Andover, Hampshire, the Business Development & Sales Executive reports directly to senior management. We are looking for a motivated, highly energetic, creative and flexible person to work alongside a colleague in a similar role to improve the organisation’s market position and achieve financial growth. This person will define long -term strategic goals, build key customer relationships, identify business opportunities, negotiate and close deals maintaining knowledge of current market conditions.

Working with the internal marketing & sales team, as well as with managers your aim is to increase sales opportunities and maximise revenue.

Travelling as necessary to facilitate your role, you are a team player, with excellent interpersonal skills, professional, and reliable. You are also a self-starter who is proactive in driving revenue through the introduction and implementation of innovative ideas and strategies.

Business Development & Sales Executive Primary roles:

Prospecting for potential new clients • Telephone Sales to enquiring clients & diarising call backs to help close a sale • Develop strategic new business plan in line with company plan •Ensure a robust pipeline of opportunities •Cold call as appropriate within the market & defined areas • Networking to source and then meeting potential clients by growing, maintaining & leveraging your network •Attend industry functions, such as awards, conferences and exhibitions •Identify opportunities for service channels that will lead to an increase in sales • Identify and develop the company’s unique selling propositions and differentiators •Execution of sales plan •Present weekly progress report •Extensive knowledge of the market & our competitors at all times

Sales Executive Experience/Skills/Qualifications:

  • 5 years’ sales or marketing experience
  • Microsoft Office
  • Full Driving License
  • Industry knowledge ideal but not essential

Sales Executive Manager Person specification:

You must be a dynamic, ambitious, confident, persuasive, business-minded professional, with an eye for new opportunities, sound commercial acumen and the ability to drive sales and increase revenue by developing new business opportunities. In simple terms, you will be capable of self-generating leads, able to get your foot in the door and have an in-depth understanding of what we do to enable you to come up with solutions to help the business grow. You must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, networking, prospecting and presentation skills, combined with an empathetic and calm manner to enable you to deal with clients.

Above all, to be successful in this fantastic role you need to show enthusiasm, drive and passion with a strong desire to ‘win’ new business and be a true team player.
