Verity Healthcare Ltd is a pacesetting health care company providing services to Local Authority Social Services, NHS Commissioning Groups and private organizations and individuals. We are currently looking for a vibrant, innovative and skilled Care Supervisor to mentor and motivate a localized team of care workers to offer high-quality services and help to continually improve outcomes for service users. Experience in writing care plans and practical knowledge of CQC regulation is essential.

 

Job Description:

Your duties will include:

• To mentor and coach the care worker team regularly to ensure high-quality services to that meets and exceeds outcomes for service users

• To attend customer's first call to introduce the Care Workers

• To work with care workers to ensure they attend scheduled visits at the agreed time and for the agreed length of time

• To carry out service users’ needs assessments, care and support plans and risk assessments

• To organize and attend service users’ care plan reviews, including reviewing and updating of needs assessment, care plan and risk assessment documents

• To assist Care Co-ordinators to allocate unassigned calls during office hours as appropriate

• To be part of the “on-call” rota to ensure that emergency support is provided as and when required – emergency support is provided on a 24-hour basis

• To undertake field-based training to ensure Care and Support Workers are working within their competency level

• To ensure all reporting and recording documents are kept up-to-date

• To liaise closely with other colleagues and other care professionals

• To actively provide care as and when required

• To undertake shadowing, supervisions, annual appraisals and team meetings with the care work team, reviewing and updating their individual Personal Development Plan

• To assisting service users with personal care i.e. toileting, washing, dying, dressing, bathing, showering and medication in accordance with their individual care plan

• To be a role model by insisting on Care Staff carrying out their duties in a professional and discreet manner


 

 

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Person specification: You will possess: • Previous at least two years’ experience in a domiciliary care sector - Essential • Minimum of NVQ level 2 in H&S Care or other professional qualification in care – Desirable • Good communication skills and good level of numeracy and literacy • Deep understanding of Essential Standards of Quality and Safety for domiciliary care • ?Ability to devise and implement care plans and ability to conduct assessments • ?Must be willing to travel to various meeting and reviews/assessments • ?Good Administration skills • ?MS Office and scheduling software • Previous experience at Senior or Higher Care Assistant level – Desirable • Previous experience as a Care Assistant – Essential • Demonstrate the ability to be self-motivated - Essential • Full
