Our client is a national care provider who provide a range of high quality care and support services for children and adults with a range of needs including learning disabilities, mental health , sensory impairment , behavioural difficulties and acquired brain injury . They are currently seeking an experienced Registered DCA Service Manager to manage their supported living services in the Hertfordshire Area. Based from an office in Hitchin, you will travel within the local area including Welwyn Garden City, Hemel Hempstead, Letchworth, Hatfield and Luton
The Registered DCA Service Manager is responsible for the delivery of excellent operational services within a defined locality; the post holder is responsible for regularly supervising a defined number of staff including Senior Project Workers, Support Workers and Admin staff. The post holder will have a caring and supportive attitude towards others which is founded on respect and an effective work style which is responsive, participative and creative
To ensure that excellent services are delivered across the area and are specific to the needs and requirements of each person who uses the service.
To work in partnership with the service users to increase their overall social development and life skills to enable them to live as independent adults in the wider community.
To ensure the services are developed and delivered in an anti-discriminatory manner giving consideration to racial, cultural and religious origins, language, gender and disability.
The successful candidate will have RMA / LCMS / QCF5 / NVQ4 or similar managerial qualification in care and be able to demonstrate success in a similar role within the last 5 years. You will ideally have held a registered manager before and be able to show a proven track record in the day to day management of supported living services and their staff teams spread across multiple sites . You are responsible for all staff, both service and office based, along with all financial management , high quality care for service users and good CQC reports. You should be prepared to maintain existing knowledge and undertake further training/development where this is required. You will be prepared to Participate in the on-call management system as required. You will report to the Locality Manager and assist with the development of new services as required.
Due to the nature of the work all applicants must be drivers and willing to travel as required.
Salary is in the region of £35,000 per annum plus an expensed company car plus a good benefits package. Hours full time.
