My Client is a national company that provide a range of services for
adults and children with a range of special needs . They are currently
;looking to extend their staff team in the Guildford and Woking areas
working in their supported living services for adults with learning disabilities.
As a support worker, we are looking for individuals with experience in working with individuals with learning / physical disabilities and associated complex needs. Experience within the care sector is preferable but not essential as full training can be given .
Main duties and responsibilities will include assessing and reviewing our service user’s needs, participation in the implementation of individual support plans, being involved in the preparation of meals, laundry duties and cleaning, along with having the highest regard for the safety and welfare of our service users. You will be supporting people with everyday tasks in life to further individual's independence ( this will include personal care as required) and arranging and participating in social activities etc.
The most important skills you can bring to us are life skills - patience, commitment, initiative and understanding. This is a role that will offer a high amount of personal satisfaction.
Driving and own transport preferred but not essential
Hours - Full Time plus Sleep In’s. However, some part-time may be available
The rate of pay is up to £8.59 per hour depending on experience and qualifications.Sleep ins paid at a flat rate per night .
Patterns of work vary – some staff work shifts, some live in for one week, then have one or two weeks off.
