Primary

As Social Care Trainer, you will be responsible for identifying training needs and delivering all training for our team of CAREGivers, from the first part of the Recruitment Programme through to the ongoing refresher training. This will include Home Instead’s City and Guilds accredited Alzheimer’s training, Moving & Handling and Medication training, Basic First Aid, Parkinson’s, Personal Care… the list goes on. Naturally, you will be supported to maintain the qualifications you need to enable you to deliver the training.

Specific job roles will include:

  • Work with the Recruitment Coordinator to schedule and conduct CAREGiver recruitment programme
  • Schedule and conduct all other relevant training
  • Develop and manage monthly competency tests for the CAREGivers
  • Conduct refresher training as appropriate for existing CAREGivers
  • Conduct regular competency checks to confirm Medication and Moving & Handling proficiency
  • Support CAREGivers to complete the Care Certificate
  • Maintain accurate training records
  • Schedule & conduct CAREGiver supervisions and appraisals regularly
