The Care We Provide
Spending a minimum of 1 hour with each of our private clients in their home, duties differ from visit to visit. Many clients just need a little help getting their meals prepared or keeping on top of basic housework, gardening or going to the shops. Whilst some clients require varying levels of Personal Care. One task that will be ever present is the ability to make a good cup of tea and have a friendly chat.
As a Team Leader, you will support the Registered Care Manager and Care Supervisor in ensuring our team of Caregivers deliver the highest possible level of care to our clients.
You will be adaptable and open-minded enough to successfully blend your current care experience with Right at Home’s preferred methods of working, whilst adopting our policies and procedures.
Generally, your days will be out delivering hands-on care and supporting new and existing care staff to reach your level of competency and efficiency. Building strong relationships with clients and their families will be second nature to you, as will encouraging and providing guidance to your less experienced colleagues.
You will pride yourself on accurate and well-written Communication Logs, Medication Charts and good general organisation.
You will be calm and patient with an attention to detail and a desire to follow proven processes. Your personal values will be similar to our own values and you will be able to work as part of a team or as an individual. You will take pride in developing colleagues and will be confident enough to ask for guidance when you do not understand something, or to take responsibility if you make a mistake. Overall, you will want to be seen as a role model to your colleagues and a dependable pillar of support to your superiors.

We know that most Home Care Assistants and Team Leaders love being out in the community visiting clients. We also know that others will eventually be looking to move into one of our office based roles or a supervisory / management position. Where possible, we always look to promote from within, which is supported by the relevant training and coaching to help you move up the career ladder, should you wish. If you have not yet gained a Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care, we would anticipate you would want to work towards this qualification quite soon.
