Support worker

Job summary

We are seeking a dedicated Community Support Worker to provide support to a 19-year-old male with Autism. This role is ideal for someone with experience in physiotherapy and working with autistic clients, ideally within a home environment.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Conduct morning physiotherapy sessions tailored to the client's needs.
• Teach and assist the client in learning various life skills aimed at enhancing independence.
• Work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure a cohesive approach to the client’s health and personal development.
• Monitor and report on the client’s progress in physiotherapy and life skills acquisition.
• Adapt activities and sessions based on the client’s daily needs and responses.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Community Support Worker, particularly with autistic clients.
• Skills and experience in physiotherapy, 
• Experience working in a hospital environment is highly advantageous.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Strong commitment to the healthcare profession and to the long-term well-being of clients.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
