The Thurrock branch of Manorcourt Homecare, which provides a range of care and support services to people in their own homes across the area, is hosting a special Afternoon Tea fundraising event on Friday 16th September and is inviting the local community come along and get involved.
The team has already held four fundraising events this year, which has so far raised an amazing grand total of £1,680 for four designated charities for 2016: The Demelza Hospice, Battersea Dogs and Cats Home, the Alzheimer's Society and St Luke's Hospice. They have held a brunch and cake sale, which raised £300. In August they held a barbecue, cake stall and table-top sale with fun and games for the children, raising another £380.
More recently in September, the team participated in the big Memory Walk for Alzheimer's Society in central London and have raised to date more than £1,000 for their efforts (specifically for the Alzheimer's Society).
Angeline Fisher, manager of Manorcourt Homecare’s Thurrock branch said: “Already this year, we have managed to raise a great deal for charity. With the afternoon tea party fundraiser coming up, it would be great to be able to increase the running total. We would like to thank everyone who has got involved so far this year, and encourage people from the local area to pop by our office on Whitehall Lane on Friday to enjoy a delicious afternoon tea in return for a donation.”
