Community spirit and compassion were at the heart of a recent challenge I was proud to take on. I’m Lavanya Gamsani, owner of Radfield Home Care Watford & Borehamwood, and I recently completed the Chiltern 3 Peaks Challenge, an 18.5-mile walk across the beautiful peaks of Whiteleaf Cross, Coombe Hill, and Ivinghoe Beacon. It was a challenging journey, but one filled with meaning, purpose, and the reminder of how caring communities can achieve incredible things together.

Walking for a Cause Close to Home: I took on this challenge to raise funds for Rennie Grove Peace Hospice Care, a charity that provides compassionate hospice-at-home care and support to individuals and families living with life-limiting illnesses across Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire. Their work allows people to remain in the comfort of their own homes, surrounded by love and dignity during the most difficult times.

“It was tough at times, but every step was worth it,” I shared afterwards. “Rennie Grove’s work touches so many lives, and I wanted to do something to give back to a cause that means so much to our community.”
