We provided care services to the client for one day only. The client wanted her morning visits at 6.30am which we accepted. The care worker arrived at the agreed time of 6.30am but could not gain access to the property. The client contacted the out of hours and the care worker went back to her at 8.30am. Whilst the care worker was assisting the client with her care needs during the morning visit, her cat attacked the care worker. The care worker sustained injuries to her arm and the client gave the care worker first aid. The care worker was very traumatised and she was given the rest of the day off. The client was informed that a replacement care worker will be providing the lunch visit. The care worker went for the lunch visit and prepared pasta for the client amongst other tasks. All tasks commissioned by the Council were carried out. The client wanted the care worker to carry out additional tasks which were not commissioned and are outside the scope of Social Care.
