Thank you for your review and feedback and for your time and understanding on the phone where I explained the day-to-day challenges we sometimes face. We work extremely hard on rota planning - ensuring staff remain within the same geographical area for their shift. This is for many reasons - providing continuity for both staff and clients, reduced mileage costs for our business (we pay our staff per mile driven) and less impact on the environment. However, unfortunately in homecare, we do sometimes have to ask our staff to travel to a call in a neighbouring area - for many reasons: perhaps another staff member has visited a client who had a fall and needed to stay with them until they were made safe, perhaps their car broke down mid-shift, or sometimes if a client has more complex needs and one of their care team is sick, we may need to ask another trained member of their team to attend. We really value our staff and look after them in every way we can - we know they're brilliant!
