Many thanks for your feedback.
As you are aware, our CAREGivers fill in a log with details of the activities carried out during a visit. I have reviewed all the logs for the 2 and a half weeks we provided support to your aunt and they confirm that a wash or shower was carried out by the CAREGiver. On only one occasion this did not happen and our Deputy Care Manager followed up with the CAREGiver concerned.
Over 40% of people we support live with some type of dementia, therefore, we are well aware that just asking whether the individual has done something (wash, eat, etc.) is not sufficient so we ensure the CAREGivers do carry out the necessary activities. This is done through spot checks, supervisions and specific training to deal with behaviours associated with dementia.
Nevertheless, I am sorry to learn that you feel more could have been done and we will make sure we continue to improve.
