Job summary
Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare
Assistant who speaks Urdu to join our team. In this role, you will
provide essential support to patients in a care home or home care
setting, ensuring their comfort and well-being. The ideal candidate
will possess strong communication skills and the ability to work
collaboratively with healthcare professionals to implement care plans effectively.
Duties
- Assist patients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and meal preparation.
- Support the implementation of individual care plans tailored to each patient's needs.
- Monitor and report any changes in patients' conditions to the Supervisor
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients by adhering to health and safety protocols.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members to ensure continuity of care.
- Drive to various locations as needed for home care visits, ensuring timely arrival at appointments.
- Utilise IT systems for documentation purposes, including updating patient records and care plans.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting, particularly in a care home or home care environment, is desirable.
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work as part of a team while also being able to take initiative when required.
- Familiarity with IT systems for managing patient information is advantageous.
- A valid driving licence is preferred for those required to travel between locations.
- A caring attitude towards patients and a commitment to providing high-quality care.
