Job summary

Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant who speaks Urdu to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to patients in a care home or home care setting, ensuring their comfort and well-being. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to implement care plans effectively.

Duties

  • Assist patients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and meal preparation.
  • Support the implementation of individual care plans tailored to each patient's needs.
  • Monitor and report any changes in patients' conditions to the Supervisor
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients by adhering to health and safety protocols.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members to ensure continuity of care.
  • Drive to various locations as needed for home care visits, ensuring timely arrival at appointments.
  • Utilise IT systems for documentation purposes, including updating patient records and care plans.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a healthcare setting, particularly in a care home or home care environment, is desirable.
  • Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work as part of a team while also being able to take initiative when required.
  • Familiarity with IT systems for managing patient information is advantageous.
  • A valid driving licence is preferred for those required to travel between locations.
  • A caring attitude towards patients and a commitment to providing high-quality care.
