We have an exciting opportunity for a live-in carer for a young adult in the Pontefract area of West Yorkshire. This will be alternate weeks 1 on/ 1 off. Previous experience of working with people with mental health issues is essential in this role.
The Care Collection provides multi award-winning home care to individuals of all ages. Our services include companionship, domestic support, personal care through to more complex care.
PLEASE NOTE THIS ROLE IS SUITABLE FOR FEMALES ONLY.
The responsibilities of this role are:
- To provide outstanding care and support to our client in their own home
- Provide companionship
- Basic help in the home, shopping and meal preparation so good cooking knowledge required
- Deliver specialist care based on training received
- Medication administration
Requirement:
- Committed, caring and compassionate with a clear desire to support others
- Enthusiastic and positive ‘can do’ attitude
- Experience with mental health support
- Knowledge of diabetes support
- Previous experience of a live in role essential
- DBS on update service
