Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Supervision & Leadership: Supervising and monitoring care staff, conducting spot checks, mentoring new employees, and covering shifts.
- Care Plan Management: Creating, reviewing, and updating personalized care plans and risk assessments to ensure compliance and quality.
- Personal Care Delivery: Assisting clients with washing, dressing, bathing, toileting, and feeding.
- Clinical & Medication Tasks: Administering medication and managing complex care needs like continence or skin care.
- Operational Support: Liaising with GPs, social workers, and families to report progress, and handling emergency situations.
- Support & Independence: Promoting client independence, dignity, and safety in their home environment.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience as a senior care worker is essential and a minimum of 2 years to be considered.
- Qualifications: Level 3 NVQ/Diploma in Health and Social Care.
- Attributes: Reliable, flexible, empathy, patience, leadership, strong communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to perform under pressure.
· Cooperation and collaboration- must be able to work well in a team.
- Requirements: A full driving license and access to a car is mandatory for this role.
