Senior Care Assistant – Domiciliary Care

Location: Community-based (domiciliary care)
Pay: £13.50 per hour
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time
Shift Patterns: mixture of 07:00–15:00 and 15:00–22:00
Rota: Rolling rota including weekends
Additional Requirement: Participation in an on-call rota

The Role

As a Senior Carer, you will provide direct care while supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the service.

Key responsibilities include:

• Delivering high-quality, person-centred care in service users’ own homes

• Supporting daily living tasks while promoting independence and choice

• Acting as a role model and mentor to junior care staff

• Carrying out spot checks, observations, and quality assurance visits

• Contributing to care planning, reviews, and risk assessments

• Acting as a point of contact for service users, families, healthcare professionals, and management

• Responding calmly and professionally to changing care needs

• Supporting safe, effective care delivery in line with regulatory standards

• Participating in the on-call rota as required

What We’re Looking For

? NVQ/QCF Level 2 in Health & Social Care (essential)
? Previous experience working in domiciliary care (essential)
? Strong understanding of person-centred care and safeguarding
? Confident decision-making and leadership skills
? Excellent communication and organisational abilities
? Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle (essential)
? Flexible to work early and late shifts on a rota basis
