At Right at Home Cheshire East, we believe in the power of community engagement, charity, and fundraising.

Over the past 12 months, we have been actively involved in various initiatives to support important causes and strengthen our community ties. Here's a look at some of the key events and their impact.

Community Engagement Activity

Macmillan Cancer Support - Coffee Morning (September 2023)

In September, we hosted a Coffee Morning to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support. The event was a fantastic success, with many community members joining us for coffee and cake. The turnout was overwhelming, and we raised significant funds to support Macmillan's vital work. Seeing the community come together for such an important cause was heartwarming.

Cake Day (September 2023)

Following the success of our Coffee Morning, we decided to host another Cake Day the next day. Our office team did a fabulous job organising the event, and we were thrilled to see even more people come out to donate and enjoy some delicious treats. The enthusiasm and generosity of our community were truly inspiring.

British Heart Foundation - Basic Life Support Training (March 2024)

In March, we focused on equipping our caregivers with essential life-saving skills. We partnered with the British Heart Foundation to provide Basic Life Support training. Our Caregivers are now better prepared to handle emergencies, ensuring the safety and well-being of our clients. This initiative underscores our commitment to providing the highest level of care.

Community CPR Training (March 2023)

We extended our training efforts to the broader community as part of Heart Month. Our dedicated trainer, Olivia, has trained over 50 individuals in CPR skills to date. These sessions have been incredibly well-received, with participants feeling more confident and prepared to handle emergencies.

Hazel Grove Golf Club CPR Training (February 2023)

One of the highlights of our year was the CPR training sessions held at Hazel Grove Golf Club. Olivia trained over 30 members, and the impact of this training was felt later in the year when a member's life was saved thanks to the skills they had learned. This success story is a testament to the importance of community training initiatives.

Staff Training Initiatives- Train the Trainer Programme (July 2024)

Congratulations are in order for Bev and Aimee, who became certified 'Train the Trainers' in July. Their dedication to professional growth is inspiring, and their new skills will undoubtedly enhance our team's expertise. This programme is part of our ongoing commitment to staff development and excellence in care.

Community Impact and Engagement

The impact of our community engagement efforts over the past year has been profound. From raising funds for cancer support to equipping individuals with life-saving skills, our initiatives have made a tangible difference. We have received numerous positive feedback and testimonials from community members, reflecting the success and importance of our efforts.

Looking Forward

We are excited to continue our community engagement and support work as we look to the future. We have several plans in the pipeline, including more fundraising events and training sessions. We encourage everyone to get involved through participation, volunteering, or donations. Together, we can make a difference.

Reflecting on the past year, we are proud of our achievements and positive impact. Our commitment to charity, fundraising, and community engagement remains strong, and we look forward to continuing this important work. Join us in our efforts to support our community and make a difference in the lives of those around us.
