Last week Home Instead Durham joined students at New College Durham for their inspiring World Mental Health Event, proudly wearing yellow to show our support for young people's mental wellbeing. We invited wonderful groups to be involved including Durham Pain Haven, Well Being for Life, Social Prescribers and the Alzheimer’s Society. It was fantastic to see so many open conversations about mental health, positivity and self care- reminding us that it's okay to talk, and it's okay to ask for help.
A huge thank you to everyone who took part and to our local MP Mary Kelly Foy for visiting and showing her support- it means a lot! Together, we are breaking stigma, starting conversations and building brighter futures- one conversation at a time.
