Bluebird were contracted to provide companionship care and support for my Aunt following the passing of her husband and the deterioration of her mobility and capability. She was extremely resistant to the introduction of at-home-care but very quickly began to appreciate the company and security that Bluebird carers offered enabling her to spend longer in her own home than might have been possible without that intervention. Over the last 12 months BlueBird have helped her to regain weight, sustain her mobility, maintain her hygiene and even been the ones to have found her following a fall to trigger emergency response and inform us of the incident. That incident alone proved invaluable as it could have been a long time before family or friends hand made a visit. I thoroughly recommend their services, the power of their service in in their people and can't thank several of their carers enough for the support provided over the last year maintaining my aunt's dignity!
Many thanks for posting this in depth review. As you say it pays tribute to the most important people in our business - the frontline Care Team. We are delighted to hear about the positive difference that Bluebird Care have made to your aunt.
I was delighted with the support bluebird gave mum at a very difficult time when we needed temporary support. Mum, being a very proud lady, did not want any support, but very quickly enjoyed the visits from the care team who managed her meds and food, treating her with respect & friendliness. I would not hesitate to recommend the team at bluebird to anyone looking for care for their loved ones. The process from first visit to agreeing on a plan was very professional, and no task or request was ever an issue. Thank you to you all.
Many thanks for your positive comments , we always strive to build a team mentality at Bluebird as well as providing top class care at home. So we are delighted to hear that came across and that we were able to support your mum and she quickly came to enjoy our visits.
The carers were kind, patient, and professional throughout. A special thanks to one staff member in particular, whose empathy, respect, and gentle approach truly stood out. She built a calm, reassuring connection with Dad and was a great support to the rest of the family.
We're very grateful for the care provided and would not hesitate to recommend Bluebird Care to others in similar situations.
Thank you for your kind words - glad we were able to assist, and my thanks go to our team for responding at such short notice.
My 89-year-old mum still lives at her home while I live in Australia. She has only recently agreed to get homecare support and Bluebird have been great. They quickly identified a home help slot and the future carer and district supervisor went to visit my mum prior to the first booked day. Things have gone very well and my mum is very appreciative and looks forward to their visits. Bluebird has a thorough process. I completed a comprehensive form of my mum's background and medical situation. Given the time zone issue with Australia, the team there have been great at working things through with me. I can definitely recommend Bluebird South Lanarkshire team.
The admin staff listen to your needs and provide options to suit your requirements.
The care worker who attends my mother is friendly and helpful, which gives us some more peace of mind.
I would recommend Bluebird Care on our personal experience so far.
Best Regards.
Bluebird are a breath of fresh air. The staff are patient, kind and helpful. They respect my mum’s wishes and dignity, ensuring she is at the centre of their focus, when they come into her home. They communicate well and raise any concerns politely, i.e if she is running low on any medication etc.
They are attentive and show genuine concern when mum is unwell. I would recommend their services.
Thank you for your kind words Angela - we really appreciate you recognising that the way we operate at Bluebird Care really makes a difference to our customers.
My 95-year-old mum sadly died in early November. She received three times per week care from the same Bluebird Care carer for a couple of years and I can honestly say they were friends. Her carer came at lunchtime, not only making meals my mum requested but also encouraging her to be a bit more adventurous in her food choices. Mum’s carer always tidied up the dishes and they had great conversations together. I met Mum’s carer on a number of occasions and found her to be a warm, caring and very professional woman. Mum was extremely fond of her. As a family, we always felt we could relax about Mum knowing she was in this lady’s capable hands. I have also had, occasion, to speak to the staff in the Bluebird Care office and have found them all very efficient, helpful and caring. They phoned me regularly when Mum was in hospital to ask about her progress which was very much appreciated. If all the Bluebird carers are as good as Mum’s was then you must have a wonderful team. We cannot thank you enough.
Many thanks for your review, Janice, it is wonderful to hear of the positive impact Bluebird Care had on your mum's quality of life. We will, of course, pass on your glowing report to our carer.
Bluebird Care came to my family's rescue and we are forever grateful. We live in America and my married cousins live in Scotland. Due to a medical emergency they had, we needed to seek out urgent care to assist them. After calling several health care agencies in Scotland, Bluebird Care was the only one that responded and provided the desperately needed care for my cousins. They immediately jumped into action and were able to schedule two different caretakers to come out to their house and take care of them. The caretakers were absolutely wonderful! They helped prep meals, cleaned their house, made their bed, drove my cousins to very much needed doctor's appointments, helped groom their golden retriever and so much more. They were professional, punctual, friendly, caring, compassionate and very accommodating. We loved them so much that we have extended their services three times now until the new year. We cannot speak highly enough about this agency, they truly are absolutely amazing!
Hi, many thanks for your great review and let me give special credit to my colleague who pulled all of this together. So glad it all worked out and Bluebird Care were able to help.
Bluebird Care provides care and home support to my mum who was recently diagnosed with Lewy Body Dementia. This is a complex condition but with the carers' support my mum is able to lead an independent life in her own home. She enjoys their company and looks forward to their visits. The carers treat her with dignity and respect and encourage her to make her own food choices. I would recommend Bluebird Care to other families seeking this support.
Thanks very much for taking the time to write this review - we always pass on these comments to our carers who are the real "stars" of the business.
I can highly recommend Bluebird Care providers. My 95-year-old mum currently receives 7-day care three times per day. Bluebird Care providers are well-organised and provide a very efficient service. All staff are committed to their role - polite, professional, well trained, kind and respectful to my mum. It really brightens up my mum's day chatting to the carers, and they have been a great support to me also.
Many thanks for your kind words, Linda. It is a real boost for all of us at Bluebird Care to know that what we do is appreciated and recognised.
We have had carers attend to my husband since November, and although it can be a bit overwhelming having carers coming in four times a day, they have shown compassion, and the level of care is very good. The carers become friends and even part of the extended family. I am so glad that we were allocated Bluebird Care and can't thank them enough for all that they do to make my husband's life more comfortable.
Many thanks for writing this review, Ina. It is so gratifying when we hear of success stories like this; as you know, we have passed on your comments to our Care Assistants.
We have a carer come and support our mum. She gets in shopping and is a wonderful help to us. She also checks Mum and cleans round. It’s a joy to know someone is going in to see her. We trust her with the money and in choosing appropriate meals. Highly recommend.
Many thanks for taking the time to write this review. We are very glad to receive such positive feedback. Best Regar
I was extremely satisfied with the care provided by Bluebird Care. The staff were punctual, courteous, very professional in the care for myself. They prepared my breakfast and lunch and assisted with my personal care. They were never too busy to encourage me and answer any questions I had. I would thoroughly recommend Bluebird Care to anyone needing assistance.
Thank you so much for such a positive recommendation. We really appreciate you taking the time to write it.
I have mentioned before, my mother was never keen to have carers, but once she got to know the girls, she loves them coming and feels at home with them. They are friendly, on time and very knowledgeable and I feel they go the extra mile for her. The family have no complaints. I have recommended to many.
I would like to thank Bluebird Care for everything they do on a daily basis for my dear husband. They make my husband a top priority. The level of care is excellent. They are so kind in their manner, everything is done efficiently with warmth and respect. My carers come in 4 times a day to attend to my husband and I thought that would be difficult for me to deal with, but they all helped to put me at ease in my own home as they come and go. They really are an excellent help to me at this time as my husband's health deteriorates. Well done Bluebird Care - you're very much appreciated.
Many thanks for taking the time to write this review of Bluebird Care - we make a point of passing on positive comments to our staff and will happily do so on this occasion.
We are very pleased with the level of care my father receives from Bluebird. The two carers who look after him do a wonderful job of looking after his health, both physical and mental, his meals, look after his daily needs and routines and also taking him out and about. We have peace of mind that he is being well looked after and being properly cared for, with the added bonus that he can continue to live safely in his own home.
Many thanks for taking the time to write this review. We are delighted that the live-in care package we provide has been such a success.
They are extremely professional in all aspects.
They make him feel comfortable in his own home and provide a friendly carer who makes him feel like nothing is a hassle.
I’m so glad that we were able to have Bluebird Care for my grandfather as he wants to be able to stay in his own home and they make this possible. Easing some of the stresses from our family, knowing someone will be there to have a chat and support him.
Thanks again.
Many thanks for taking the time to post a review. We are delighted to hear that receiving help from Bluebird Care was such a positive experience.
My mum is 99 years old with dementia, l don’t know what l would do without the care of Bluebird ladies, they are amazing, so kind, gentle, considerate to my mum's needs, due to her illness she can be extremely difficult to handle but the ladies are well trained in dealing with this, they sing songs mum likes and have fun with her to keep her calm, they are 150% dedicated to this job, l will never be able to thank them enough. Well done Bluebird ladies, love you all and thanks x
Many thanks, Celia for your kind words, we have of course passed on your comments to the relevant staff.
Bluebird Care has been a wonderful help to my parents as their circumstances have changed due to age and deteriorating health. The carer we have been allocated has been such a help and encouragement to them, she is a wonderful person to have around. It has given our family peace of mind when we know she will be in helping them.
Best Regards.
A companion nurse comes to visit my mum, who has a form of dementia, twice a week. My mum really looks forward to the visits and considers the nurse a friend. The carer has gone out of her way to do lots for my mum and regularly lets me know how visits are and how my mum is. I live a long way away and don't know how we'd cope without the wonderful help of Bluebird Care.
Many thanks for your kind words Adrian - we are very glad to hear about the difference Bluebird Care have made to your mum's quality of life.

Meet the Team (9)
I have been a business owner for several decades, firstly as an Insurance Broker and now in the Home Care sector. I have always been interested in helping people and so this is an ideal opportunity for me. When doing some market research I quickly came across Bluebird Care as they have a large network of offices across the UK and I really liked their ethos and business culture.
My aim at Bluebird Care South Lanarkshire is to build a strong team based upon a tried and tested franchise model. The office staff have regular team meetings and are there to help with the management, supervision and training of all our Carers. The ultimate goal is to give great quality care to our customers who are always at the centre of all that we do.
We can offer Care and Support at every stage of life – ranging from companionship all the way up to 24 hour “Live In” support
Away from work, I am part of the leadership team in a local church, enjoy walks in the country (and on the golf course) as well as spending time with family.
My role involves everything from the first voice many will hear when they call the office to being involved in our safe recruitment procedures and lots in between.
The other main focus I have is a family that continues to grow up fast and I am happy to play my part with plenty of grandmother times. I also enjoy holidays abroad and being involved in a church, here in Hamilton.
My role at Bluebird is varied, which makes it really interesting. I often get to meet customers at the beginning of their relationship with Bluebird Care and it is just lovely to be involved in introducing them to carers and seeing people’s lives enriched by the support we are able to provide.
Andrew's background is in IT, he then moved on to spend 6 years in Indonesia where he was involved in teaching and curriculum development. Upon returning to Scotland in 2009 he has continued to develop his career, starting with Bluebird Care South Lanarkshire in 2014.
I started my career in care after having my family. I started as a Care Assistant and am now the Registered Manager. I love being part of Bluebird Care and have benefited from the advice, training and support I receive from the experts within the wider organisation. It is a privilege to be able to work with families, and as part of multi-disciplinary teams, supporting customers to stay in their own homes and helping to increase their quality of life.
I first worked in finance for about 7 years before commencing a career in care, working in Edinburgh, when my children were young. I also worked for a short time in England before joining Bluebird Care as a Care Assistant and now Supervisor.
It is a challenging role but rewarding to see that we can make a difference in the lives of our customers and their families. I have the best of both worlds being part of the office team but regularly being out and about meeting customers and carers.
Now at Bluebird Care I am able to use that experience to ensure our internal processes are effective and also as efficient as they can be. It is lovely working with a team whose focus is on making it possible for our customers to stay in their own homes and playing a small part in this, within the office.
Outside of work, I find balance and inspiration through my local church, quality time with loved ones, and staying active, all of which keep me grounded and motivated.
I have a strong foundation in helping others through various experiences, such as contributing to the local community through my church and helping out at a summer camp for 8-11-year-old children. These activities have equipped me with such skills as empathy, patience and kindness as well as good organisational abilities, which are the type of skills required for my role at Bluebird Care. Although I have just started my professional career, I have been able to apply what I have learnt through volunteering and hope to build upon this as I develop in this role.
