Overall Experience

My mother has been a resident at Oxlip House for a year now and has had amazing care and attention in all areas. In her own words, my mother describes her time at Oxlip as "the best decision I have ever made". I think that comment from a resident says it all.

Overall Experience

My uncle has been living here for over 16 months now and as a gentleman in his 90s, he needs support to meet his care needs which have increased.
All the lovely staff have been so kind and compassionate to him. They are always so helpful and supportive.
Oxlip House is a lovely environment, very well

maintained, bright and has lots of facilities for the residents to enjoy.
It is also very secure so you know your loved ones are safe.
I would highly recommend this supported living accommodation.
A big thanks to the care manager and the general manager for their help and support in liaising with the family to keep them updated as required.

Overall Experience

Very pleasant place to live. The environment within the building is very well thought out and easy for residents to understand, well-equipped and safe. Plenty of opportunities to join in with activities.
My mother is extremely happy to be part of this 'community' and fits in well. She loves all the

activities and is very well-stimulated.
My mother says that this is the best place for her to live and loves her flat. The carers are fantastic and extremely caring.

Overall Experience

Day to day life - good. Repairs take a while to penetrate but then are completed very well. Carers are excellent. Flats are clean and looked after by the carers. Everyone who comes acts well. A good proportion of residents misread communications and need them to be explained. A safe and good place to

live.

Overall Experience

I feel when management is here, they are very supportive, but there are times, especially over the weekend when there are no members of the management team available. Also, we don't know when they are in; the given times aren't always adhered to.

Overall Experience

The carers at OSJCT Oxlip House treat my mother with kindness, friendliness and respect at all times. My only frustration is with the catering services which since the departure of the former providers has not been able to provide cooked food at the weekend.

Overall Experience

We find the carers extremely good with a caring and understanding approach. The daily caring routine can be extremely inconsistent with timed visits fluctuating from day to day. This can lead to stress and confusion. The lack of a manager on site all day also causes periods of worry and stress.

Overall Experience

Prior to my dad moving into Oxslip House, he had lived in his bungalow in Colchester for 40+ years. When his wife and a lot of his friends passed away, I noticed Dad was becoming withdrawn and very sad. Most weeks I was the only visitor he had.
I live in Bury St Edmunds and looked at Assisted Living

accommodation that would suit his needs nearer to me as Dad had a fall in 2021 and broke his hip. We were concerned about him having another fall without anyone being around to assist him.
Dad moved into Oxslip House in September 2022. We chose Oxslip House partly because of the onsite carers, and we are so glad we did. Dad is now 89 and has had several other falls. Thankfully, every time he has, the carers have been in his flat within five minutes to assist. Dad cannot speak highly enough about the carers and Oxslip House in general.
To see him smile again and engage in conversation with the other residents has given him another lease on life.

Overall Experience

My uncle moved here 4 years ago and the care and compassion he has received since he moved here is unsurpassed. There is nothing that is too much trouble, any concerns however small are answered promptly. You can approach any member of staff with confidence that any queries will be sorted. I think the

fact that they have not had to employ agency staff for the past 3+ years speaks for itself. I would have no hesitation in recommending Oxlip House for anyone looking for a caring environment. The team are a credit to OSJCT Oxlip.
