Ablegrange Supported Living is a personal care service that provides personalized support for people in their own homes, specifically at 45-47 Kingsway, which is a supported living facility with self-contained bed-sitting apartments with en-suite shower, toilet and kitchenette.

Personal care is provided for adults in a supported living setting who have learning disabilities and associated mental health conditions, whose behaviors can be challenging to the service provision and people who need help and support to access the community to enable them to live independently in their own flat or house.

The staff have at least NVQ level 2 training. Mandatory training for staff is renewed annually for first aid, moving and handling, administration of medication, infection control, basic food hygiene, CoSHH, health and safety in the workplace, safeguarding vulnerable adults and MCA and DoLs.

Staff have also received training in how to manage challenging behaviour and epilepsy.

We are very happy with all aspects of my sister's the care. She is very safe and staff are very responsive to her needs and aspirations. I am always kept well informed and the staff are very approachable.

The staff are very accomodating, friendly and caring. They take a genuine interest in the residents' health and wellbeing. The residents all seem to be happy and comfortable in their environment. The management always keeps the family up to date with hospital appointments and external visits. Overall

I am the mother of a son who has autism that requires special understanding and support, and no words can adequately describe how fortunate I feel and how grateful I am that my son is residing in Ablegrange Supported Living, where the manager in charge and her staff excel in providing individual help
and patience to each resident. Rooms have the necessary furnishings, a TV plus a shower room and WC. Nourishing and varied meals are prepared and cooked according to the resident's choice and catered to suit individual cultures and needs. Daily activities are encouraged outside in the community and family members are warmly welcomed to visit or call by arrangement with staff who really care.
