The carers have been of exceptional quality and offer such a quality standard of care. They form instant bonds with the family and really do have the person at the heart of all they do. The carers are supported by an excellent office team with Maria at the helm. They are knowelegbe and always available to help. The whole team go above and beyond in their caring roles. And they work extremely well with handovers between carers. The carers are always honest and prompt and give so much to the person they care for.
We have been so fortunate to have such lovely people in our lives caring for our dad to the very end.
Thank you so much for your incredibly kind and heartfelt words. It has been a true privilege for Maria and the whole team to care for your dad throughout his journey.
We are deeply touched by your recognition of the compassion, dedication, and professionalism shown by our carers and office team....
Our mother has dementia and we have found Maria's Homecare to have been brilliant since we engaged them. The carers are all really caring and experienced in what they do. They approach their work with kindness and great patience. Notes are made on the care circle app without delay after every visit and which is really helpful andgive us peace of mind. The support staff and management are equally as impressive and caring. They are really professional and deal with any problems or queries without any delay including notifying us as clients. Furthermore, they are always looking forward to see how care can be improved and proactively deal with external agencies and doctors in order to get the best support and care possible. In addition they have real knowledge of all of the different medications that our mother takes and there interactions and able to suggest changes and review with the doctors and which has been very beneficial. All in all an excellent agency and highly recommended.
Thank you so much for your wonderful review and kind words. We are truly grateful for your trust in Maria's Homecare and are delighted to hear that our carers and office team have provided compassionate, professional, and reliable support for your mother.
Supporting clients living with dementia...
Professionalism from top to bottom 24 hours a day. Nothing too much for them excellent staff.
Thank you so much for your kind words - it was a pleasure to support you and your husband. We wish you all the very best and always here for a catch up!
The carers have been wonderful in every way. They are excellent at their jobs, kind, caring and hardworking. They perform all of my mother's meals preparation, household chores, liaison with GP, pharmacist and dentist and provide companionship and any other support needs. They also produce a clear and comprehensive report of each visit, uploaded online, so that we can immediately see how my mother is getting on.
In the early stages, five years ago, the wonderful care succeeded in bringing her back to full health, after what was deemed palliative care by the GP.
Maria's Homecare also supported my aunt through her difficult years with dementia, through to end of life care.
We have also found the management and support team at Maria's Homecare to be excellent. They are always efficient, proactive and supportive and we have a good relationship with them.
Thank you for your kind words. It is a pleasure to support your mother and late aunt and work with such a wonderful and caring family.
All of the carers were truly kind, caring and very professional. I felt completely at ease with them. I was astonished by their nursing knowledge. I was rehabilitated back to good health within a month of their good care and advice.
Thank you for your wonderful feedback. We're so pleased to hear that our carers made you feel comfortable and supported throughout your recovery.
It means a great deal to know that their kindness, professionalism, and nursing knowledge helped you regain your health so quickly. Your comments are greatly appreciated and will be shared with the team.
I cannot recommend Maria's HomeCare highly enough. The staff are always punctual and friendly. The management are always available to answer any questions. I thoroughly recommend this company.
Thank you Graham, it has been a pleasure to continue to support your wife at home, and being able to support and guide you along the way. Liaising with all the community professionals to ensure she receives the best support available to improve her overall health and wellbeing.
In what was a very complex situation, Maria's HomeCare Companions went above and beyond to support my friend. I was constantly surprised at how proactive they were in finding solutions and how they advocated for my friend in the hospital while she was there. My friend was very resistant to having carers in the first place, and they took great care and lots of patience to help her accept carers into her home, and then help support her in her extended hospital stay. Thank you, you really took a weight off my mind, and I know you were crucial in this difficult transition.
It was a pleasure to support your friends through a challenging time. Thank you for putting your trust in Marias Home Care.
I was very grateful for the care given to my mum by Marias Homecare Companions, and by the professionalism and empathy shown by the carers and by the manager. The office staff were also very helpful when we had questions or needed to change aspects of her care. The carers and the manager went above and beyond to ensure that my mum had the right support, especially when she became very unwell, and they helped me to deal with the various issues that arose as her care needs changed. They were proactive in letting me know if my mum was ill, or if there were other concerns, and gave me helpful suggestions that improved my mum's care. They also liaised with the doctors to make appointments if needed. The carers were always on time and took the time to talk to my mum as well as helping her, which brightened up her day, and she looked forward to their visits. Thanks to you all.
Thank you for your lovely words and feedback. It was a pleasure to help support your mother
Our current carer, though pleasant enough, does not do such a thorough job of cleaning and tends to leave well before the two hours we are contracted for.
Thank you for taking the time for your review, which we always take seriouslyWe are pleased you have always been happy with the service for the past couple of years and I am sure you must be saddened that your regular cleaner has now moved to CanadaI apologise that you have not been satisfied with...
Fortunately this experience enabled us to become wiser and to be more selective and focused in moving forward in our quest for help.
The search eventually lead us to find Marias Homecare Providers which looked as if they might be able to improve the image and services we had to date. i.e. straight forward, helpful and understanding without fuss.
The result has been that our experience of 'helpful' has been completely reversed. We now have an excellent professional working relationship with both the back office support and the regularly visiting companion.
This is good for the family as a whole because it helps us manage our domestic scene in many ways.
Thank you for your lovely review. We are delighted to be able to supply your wife with a regular carer, it is wonderful to see the friendship between them develop. Sarah looks forward to the visits and the regular days out of various places, thus promoting well being and independence.
The office staff are always on hand when we need them. They are very professional and when the care plan needs changing, as it has a few times since mum has been bed bound, they are very quick to update Mum's care plan.
The carers arrive on time, always professional and very caring towards my Mum. If they have any concerns at all they will let me know and contact the office to advise them also.
There have been times when the office have called upon the district nurses to attend urgently, and other authorities, when required.
They take the caring role very seriously, which allows me to feel comforted that Mums health and welfare is of utmost importance to them as a caring company. .
It has been a pleasure to support your mother and work alongside your loving family. Thank you for giving us the honour to provide support and care for the past 5 years to a wonderful lady, we will always remember her smile and twinkle in her eyes
The carers from Maria's take very good care of my 93 year old mother. They treat her with kindness and respect. Mum has needed 4 calls a day since last September. You hear some horror stories on the news, so it's been a relief that my mum hasn't had any problems.
It has been a pleasure to support your mother. We are so pleased she is happy with the service and carers the visit.
Mum gets great support and is so happy with her two main carers who have established a great relationship with her. It's not always easy for the carers but they are patient and really understanding and clearly want the best for her. It is very important for mum to continue to live independently for as long as she can and this has presented some challenges over the last year or so as her needs and frailty increase. The carers and the agency have worked really hard to meet her changing needs and give her the continuity she wants.
We have been so pleased that your mothers two carers have worked so well together in order to deliver the care that your mother wants and needs, compassionately. Promoting independence has been paramount and the communication between us all has worked effectively with the recent changes. Thank you for choosing us
Great service. The team at Maria's have been excellent in the care for my mother. Communication with the office works extremely well and people that attend are diligent and kind. The regular carer that attend's and has always been very kind with mum.
It has been a pleasure to support your mother and our carers always enjoy visiting her.
Great service and friendly people, we are confident mum will be correctly cared for .
The transition to live in care will make a significant difference to her life. The one to one care 24/7 is the best support anyone could have and all in the comfort of her own home with her gorgeous Dog. We know this will be the best solution for rehabilitation and I'm so pleased we were able to put it in place so quickly. Thank you for your review.
I cannot say enough good things and I hope she never leaves!
Hi, It has been an absolute pleasure supporting your mum for the past 2 years. The improvements in her mobility and mental health have significantly improved since having the transition to live in care. The continuity of the same carer each day allows a wonderful bond of trust and friendship. We...
Great ongoing support from a caring, articulate and well-organised team, which efficiently flexes to fit our evolving needs. This has allowed Mum to remain living independently in her own home, whilst providing much greater peace of mind for my siblings and I.
It is such a pleasure to support such a wonderful lady, thank you.
I am so grateful to my daily carer who comes twice a day. She is caring, capable, helpful, knowledgeable and a friend to me too! She helps with everything from washing bedding. shopping, trips out, cooking and keeping me independent. I feel safe when she arrives and having a regular face is so comforting.
It has been such a pleasure to support you all these years - we feel honoured to have assisted you and your late husband remain home, empowered and independent x
I have found all the carers totally competent with all the qualities desirable in a person caring for another. But a proportion of them go way beyond this. I find this usually transfers to how prepared they are to talk and share interests with clients, to share conversations about hobbies and interests. I have had long-term involvement and engagement with carers interested in music, singing and playing instruments sharing my singing and guitar playing and enjoying the cooperation and pleasure it brings.
Thank you so much for your warm review. Our team really does enjoy visiting you and hearing you play.
I have been with this company for several years. My present carer is outstanding with many helpful ideas and sympathetic problem-solving at a difficult time for me.
It has always been a pleasure to support you for all these years and an honour to support you for many more years to come.

Maria established Maria's Home Care in 2009, bringing with her a strong background in care that began at the age of 17. She has worked in Nursing Homes, provided private care, and supported various agencies, quickly building extensive experience as both a caregiver and a manager. Having also cared for her own family members, Maria understands the emotional aspects of care from both the giver’s and the receiver’s perspective, giving her a deep sense of empathy.
In addition to her work in care, Maria has experience as a police officer, where she supported individuals through a wide range of challenging situations, further strengthening her compassion and resilience.
Maria is also the proud founder of the Dean's Senior Tea Club, a charity established in 2010 to support older people in the communities of Peacehaven, Saltdean, Telscombe, and Rottingdean. The club encourages social interaction and helps reduce isolation, growing from strength to strength to now welcome around 300 members. Clients are also encouraged to attend and enjoy the social activities. Many members describe the club as a lifeline, particularly as they have lost friends over time.
Maria has won numerous awards in recognition of her outstanding contribution to the community through this remarkable charity as well as for her CQC-rated "good" care company.
Hayley has been part of the journey from the very beginning. She brings an extensive medical background, including managerial roles at the Royal Sussex County Hospital, which has played a key role in building a successful and trusted service. From the outset, the company has been built on a hands-on approach, and to this day, both Hayley and Maria continue to step in and cover visits when carers are unwell. They remain fully involved in every client’s care and rehabilitation, offering guidance and making referrals to appropriate community specialists where needed.
Hayley is also our dedicated Palliative Care Champion. Clients and families going through difficult times often describe her as a true source of strength. With her advanced knowledge and compassionate approach, she helps ensure clients can remain in the comfort of their own homes, surrounded by loved ones, while receiving high-quality, pain-free care.
In addition, Hayley oversees staff training, ensuring that all team members remain fully up to date and compliant with current health and social care standards.

Sara is nearing completion of her Level 5 apprenticeship in Health and Social Care Leadership, further strengthening her skills and knowledge within the role. Colleagues often praise her kind and compassionate approach to teaching, guidance, and support, ensuring that both staff and clients feel valued and well cared for.
She has built strong relationships with key stakeholders, helping to ensure that every client can access the specialist support they need within the community, including equipment services, District Nurses, physiotherapists, dietitians, and GPs.
Sara is bilingual, speaking both English and Spanish, and recently welcomed a beautiful baby girl—congratulations to her on this wonderful milestone.
Mitzy joined the team as a carer in 2020 and has since progressed to the role of Care Co-ordinator. In this position, she supports and guides our carers while also managing the rostering of all client visits.

Mitzy’s organisation and attention to detail have helped establish our reputation for reliability, particularly in delivering care at the times we promise.
Clients often comment on how easy it is to contact the office and receive a prompt, helpful response. Our service operates 24/7, including an out-of-hours telephone line, ensuring support is always available when needed.
Mitzy also makes regular visits to clients, allowing them to put a face to the name. We believe this personal approach is important in building trust and maintaining strong, friendly relationships.
Mitzy is deep in her apprenticeship for a Level 4 in Health and Social Care Leader
John has been a valued member of the team since 2019 and is highly sought after by our clients. He is known for his gentle, calm approach and great sense of humour, often boosting morale and encouraging clients to stay active and social.

He is currently training to become a Care Co-ordinator and is working towards his Level 4 qualification in Health and Social Care Leadership.
John has a particular interest in dementia care and demonstrates a natural ability to support clients with understanding and compassion, even in more complex situations.
