The Role of a Care Assistant

Home Instead are looking for people with kind, compassionate hearts who want to make a true difference to the quality of life for our clients in Retford and Gainsborough.

We are seeking caring individuals who can support our clients and offer both full-time, part-time positions.

Care assistants support clients in the community to live and remain in their own home. Due to the nature of the role in the community you must be willing to travel around Rotherham and commit to working a combination of the following shift times including alternative weekends and bank holidays. We require applicants have a valid driving licence, access to a car and willing to add business insurance to their insurance policy.

We have had a demand for care in Tickhill, Rossington and Bawtry so if you live in or close to these areas please contact us today.

You will support clients with:

• Personal care tasks
• Medication
• Meal preparation
• Light housekeeping
• Shopping
• General companionship and wellbeing
• Taking clients to medical appointments

We provide you with:

• Contracts available for 16 and 30 hours a week
• Travel time paid and mileage allowance
• Paid induction
• Double time paid on Bank Holidays
• Two week cancellation protection
• Paid training updates & supervisions
• Every second weekend off
• Holiday pay

Schedule

• Days and/or evenings
• Monday to Friday
• Alternate weekends
