Job summary
Overview:
Kalcrest Care are seeking an experienced supervisor to join our dynamic team within one of West Yorkshires leading homecare companies. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for health and social care and working with people and other healthcare professionals.
You will also be expected to deliver personal cares to people as and when the need arises.
This role is essential in ensuring that you lead by example when managing our fantastic team of care staff. You will work alongside our registered manager and the office staff to support them with efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of delivering care, support and quality assurance to our staff and service users. You will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, within the office as well as been out on location. Your responsibilities will be to support the registered manager in all aspects of administration tasks, conducting spot checks on staff, conducting supervisions, appraisals and to conduct welcome visits and person centred care support plans for our service users, service user reviews and to contribute to delivering and exceptional service.
Duties
- To be part of the out of hours team where you will provide guidance and support to our staff and service users over the telephone and to deal with any queries. You will also be paid for operating the out of hours service.
- Maintain high standards of care and support delivery when delivering care and support to our service users.
- To work within the office on selected days as directed by the registered manager.
- To work with and support the registered manager in the training of new staff.
- To adhere to and enforce all of our policies and procedures at all times.
- To conduct spot checks, supervisions, appraisals, conduct welcome visits and complete care support plans, service user reviews as directed by the registered manager.
- Collaborate and liaise with other relevant professionals and other departments who are involved with someone's care and support.
- Address any service user concerns or feedback promptly to enhance our service user satisfaction.
- Foster a positive team environment that encourages collaboration and professional growth.
Skills / Qualifications:
- - To have a level 3 in health and social care or working towards the award
- - To have a strong knowledge of the care quality commissions standards and regulations
- - Excellent communicator
- - Strong knowledge of safeguarding processes and whistleblowing
- - Excellent organisational skills to beable to manage own workload
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- - To be able to work under pressure in a fast paced environment while still maintaining high standards
