We are currently seeking Senior Care Assistants who are passionate, experienced, and adaptable to join our growing team of professionals providing exceptional care where it’s needed most.

Role Overview

As a Senior Care Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of person-centred care across a range of services. Working flexibly in different care settings, you will lead by example, support junior staff, and contribute to the safety, dignity, and wellbeing of residents and service users.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality personal and practical care to service users, in line with individual care plans.
  • Supervise and support Care Assistants during shifts to ensure safe and effective care delivery.
  • Administer or assist with the administration of medication (where appropriately trained and authorised).
  • Promote independence, dignity, and respect at all times.
  • Record and report on the condition and wellbeing of residents accurately and professionally.
  • Liaise with families, healthcare professionals, and management teams to promote best outcomes.
  • Uphold safeguarding principles and report any concerns appropriately.
  • Adapt quickly to the routines and policies of different services you are deployed to.
  • Support training and induction of new staff members when required.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a care or support role.
  • NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or working towards).
  • Medication administration training and experience (preferred).
  • Experience working in residential, nursing, or domiciliary care settings.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and observational skills.
  • Ability to travel to various care settings across the region (driver with access to a vehicle desirable).
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to process a new application).
  • Right to work in the UK.
