CARE / SUPPORT WORKER
JOB DESCRIPTION
- To meet the personal care and support needs of customers in a way that respects the dignity of the individual and promotes independence.
- Provide assistance with household and domestic tasks where agreed and in line with the care plan, e.g., laundry, shopping, cleaning etc.
- To make meals, drinks and snacks where necessary. Assist with feeding where needed.
- Maintain the client's dignity and independence.
- Encourage and enable clients to follow agreed care and support plans.
- Keep the line manager, the business and key partners informed about the well-being of customers and the progress of the care being undertaken
- Attend staff meetings and supervision sessions with managers.
Skills / Qualifications:
- The Ideal Health Care Assistant will have a positive and caring attitude with good communication skills
- reliable and trustworthy. Previous experience working in Home Care / Care homes / hospital setting is desirable but not essential.
