Job summary

We’re looking for a confident and motivated Care Supervisor to join our award-winning team at Melody Care. This hybrid role bridges the gap between our office and field-based teams, playing a key role in ensuring high standards of care and communication. If you're passionate about quality, relationships, and supporting others to grow, this could be the perfect opportunity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain excellent relationships with clients, carers, and colleagues

  • Mentor and support new and existing carers in the community

  • Conduct supervisions, 1:1 meetings, and performance reviews

  • Assist with recruitment, training, and induction of new staff

  • Carry out client assessments, risk assessments, and care planning

  • Attend initial visits to introduce carers to new clients

  • Provide in-field support and training to ensure carer competency

  • Audit client and carer files bi-monthly for compliance

  • Respond to safeguarding concerns and escalate appropriately

  • Resolve complaints with the support of the Registered Manager

  • Collaborate with Care Coordinator on rota management and updates

  • Participate in the out-of-hours on-call rota

  • Maintain accurate records and report key findings to the manager

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong communication and organisational skills

  • Experience in a senior care role or supervisory position

  • A passion for mentoring and developing others

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or working towards Level 4/5)

  • Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle
