Job summary
Butterfly Days are currently recruiting Community Health Care Assistants/Support Workers to work in the Lowestoft NR33 /NR32 postcode areas. We are looking for experienced, kind, compassionate and good humoured individuals, if that is you then we would like to hear from you. The role is laid out below, although this may vary from time to time:
FULL TIME AND PART TIME ROLES AVAILABLE
Community healthcare assistants enable and/or assist individuals to remain in the community, to be supported and maintained safely in their own homes, and thereby enhance the quality of life whilst encouraging your service user’s individuality and independence.

- Great Rates of Pay: £12.65ph Weekdays, £13.65ph Weekends, £15.00ph Bank Holidays (starting rate at £12.21)

Main Duties: This list is not exhaustive and may vary from time to time.
- Visit service users at the times directed by the care coordinator.
- To be vigilant and report concerns as necessary
- Appropriate assistance in an emergency
- Personal care (where specified on care plan)
- Assisting service users in/out of bed, chair etc.
- Assist service users in (un)dressing
- Assist in aspect of personal hygiene
- Assist service users in feeding.
- Food Preparation
- Assist service user to access toilet facilities.
- Encourage service users to maximise abilities and skills
- Maintain cleanliness of service users homes where directed.
- Lighting fires and operating other sources of warmth.
- Home facilities such as ironing clothes or bed linen, essential shopping or payment of bills, prepare or reheat meals provided.
- Actively encourage service users to participate in all aspects of daily living activities.
- Provide companionship at home or on outings
- Complete and maintain accurate and legible records at the end of each visit.
- Maintaining confidentiality
- Remind service users of their right to complain.

Special Conditions Criminal Record Bureau Disclosures (DBS & Vetting Check) This post will result in you having substantial contact with elderly, sick, or disabled persons.
