As a live-in carer, you’ll provide continuous, compassionate care, offering 24-hour support as needed while living in your client’s home. Your role will combine personal care, companionship, and household help, enabling clients to maintain independence and comfort while building meaningful relationships.
We carefully match care professionals and clients based on personality and shared interests, helping to create instant rapport and lasting trust.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver 24-hour care in line with an agreed, personalised care plan
- Support clients with personal care (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting)
- Assist with mobility and daily routines
- Prepare healthy meals and assist with feeding if required
- Carry out household tasks: cleaning, laundry, shopping, light housekeeping
- Manage medication and collect prescriptions
- Monitor and record health changes, reporting concerns promptly
- Provide companionship, emotional reassurance, and meaningful activities
- Care for pets, including feeding and walking
- Accompany clients to appointments, social activities, or trips – UK and abroad
- Coordinate transport for appointments when needed
- Support clients in managing energy and time for work and social life
- Maintain confidentiality, dignity, and respect at all times
- Work with healthcare professionals when specialist care is required
About You:
Essential
- Kind, empathetic, adaptable, and emotionally intelligent
- Self-motivated, organised, and trustworthy
- Strong English communication skills
- Right to work in the UK and up-to-date DBS check
- Comfortable with flexible, long-term placements and rotational travel
- Trained in Medication Administration, Safeguarding, and Moving & Handling
- Committed to providing quality live-in care
Desirable
- Previous care or live-in care experience
- Driving licence and own car
- Able to work independently in a busy household environment
