Job summary
Job Title: Senior Care Assistant (Dual Role – Care Home & Domiciliary Care)
Location: Summercourt Care Home (Teignmouth) & Community Care (Teignmouth, Dawlish, Exeter, Exminster)
Hours: 40 hours per week (30 hours at Summercourt Care Home + 10 hours with Classic Carers domiciliary team)

We are now looking for a dedicated Senior Care Assistant to join our team in a rewarding dual role, working both within our care home and in the community.
The Role
This unique position offers the opportunity to develop and apply your skills across two care settings:

30 hours per week at Summercourt Care Home, Teignmouth, supporting residents with dementia and complex needs, supervising junior staff, and ensuring compliance with care plans and care standards.

10 hours per week with our Classic Carers domiciliary team, delivering high-quality care and companionship to individuals in their own homes across Teignmouth, Dawlish, Exeter, and Exminster.
Key Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality, person-centred care in both care home and domiciliary settings.

Supervise, support, and motivate care assistants, acting as a role model.

Administer medication safely and in line with policy and training.

Contribute to care planning, accurate record-keeping, and CQC compliance.

Promote dignity, respect, and independence in all aspects of care.

Drive safely to community visits (mileage reimbursed).
Requirements

Minimum NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care (NVQ Level 3 desirable).

Previous experience in residential and/or domiciliary care.

Strong communication and leadership skills.

Own car and valid UK driving licence – essential.
