Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to
join our team for eveings and weekend shifts throughout the South
Holland area, The ideal candidate will provide essential care and
support to individuals in their own homes. This role requires a
commitment to enhancing the quality of life for seniors and
individuals with disabilities, ensuring their comfort and dignity at
all times.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and meal preparation.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to clients, fostering a positive environment.
- Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients' health conditions.
- Support clients with mobility challenges.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in clients' conditions to the appropriate personnel.
- Engage clients in social activities and encourage participation in recreational programs.
- Ensure a safe and clean living environment by adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individual care plans tailored to each client's needs.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in care is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of first aid practices is an advantage.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a genuine passion for caring for others.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- A relevant qualification in health or social care is preferred but not essential.
- Excellent communication skills in English (spoken and written)
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
- Flexibility to cover all areas of South Holland and The Deepings.
- A valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
- At least 3 years right to reside and work in the UK (Sponsorship applications will not be considered)
