Job summary

About the Role:
We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Care Worker to support a young female client based in Kingston  who requires daily assistance and companionship. This is a full-time position with long day shifts, offering consistency and the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the client’s quality of life.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide personal care and support in line with the client’s care plan.

  • Safely perform manual handling and use hoisting equipment as required.

  • Support with catheter care and maintain appropriate hygiene standards.

  • Offer companionship and emotional support, engaging in conversations and light activities.

  • Communicate effectively with the client, family, and care coordinators.

  • Assist with daily living tasks, ensuring comfort, dignity, and safety at all times.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in manual handling, hoisting, and catheter care is essential.

  • Strong spoken and written English skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

  • Compassionate, patient, and reliable.

  • Able to work long day shifts, 7 days a week (rota-based scheduling may apply).

  • A friendly and engaging personality — the client is a young individual seeking a carer who can also provide good companionship.

Preferred:

  • Experience supporting young adults or clients with similar needs.

  • The client has expressed a preference for a younger carer (approximately 22–35 years old) for compatibility and companionship reasons.
