Care Assistant

Job summary

We have an excellent career opportunity for the role of Home Care Assistant to join our amazing Home Instead Castleford and Selby branch working in and around the following areas:

• Castleford
• Pontefract
• Selby
• Goole

Pay: We pay excellent hourly rates of £13 per hour Monday to Friday and £13.50 at weekends plus 30p paid per mile in between clients.

We also pay DOUBLE time on bank holidays.

Hours per week: Part time hours working 16-20 hours per week

Working times:

• 7am to 2.30pm
• 3.45pm to 9.45pm
• including alternative weekends and bank holidays.

Key responsibilities:

• Help with everyday tasks such as meal preparation, medication, and light housework
• Accompanying to appointments or shopping
• Personal care - supporting our clients with the essentials such as bathing, showering, dressing and grooming to keep them healthy and independent
• Companionship - ensuring a client enjoys regular and meaningful social interaction is an important part of your visit.
