Home Instead (Castleford and Selby)

My elderly father started his care journey January this year. I still provide the majority of care but now I am able to have a break and feel supported, we work in partnership, I have peace of mind and know he is in good hands when I am not there. I can't recommend Home Instead enough. I had phoned other providers but I didn't feel they were as interested or helpful and they didn't seem as able to provide the same small group of carers, which is important in relationship building. Everything from the holistic initial assessment to the care visits and review appointment to check all needs are met / there are any new or emerging needs that need planning for, has been outstanding. My father was hesitant to receiving home care, at first, but now he looks forward to the home visits, so much so that we have increased them. He loves choosing his meal at tea time and a cuppa and a chat. Home Instead really do care and provide high quality individualised care.

Their attention to providing the best working environment, and valuing their team of carers, is refreshing for an industry that sadly doesn't always put their employees first, and this ethos is clearly reflected in the care assistants' reliability, positive attitude and morale when visiting my dad!

Outstanding service from the manager and the team at Home Instead. We didn't know where to start when Mum needed more help to stay in her own home. The manager came out to meet us to discuss our requirements and then made it happen! We cannot praise them enough and highly recommend this company, who go above and beyond.

We started with Home Instead in June of this year and the whole process has been great. All protocols were fully explained, staff were introduced and both mum and I felt comfortable with all the carers coming in to her home. Staff have become friends and we really appreciate the communication and transparency in everything that is done. Many thanks.

Mum has visits once a fortnight with a view to building this up should we need it. It is good to know that Home Instead is flexible too as we have occasionally had to change the day/time of visits.

My aunt is being very well cared for each day and she has shown a lot of improvement since the visits began. I can totally recommend this company and nothing is too much trouble for them. The carers are lovely people and my aunt has grown really fond of them all.
